On tap at River’s Reach in New Westminster. A beautiful orange colour with moderate whitish head. Orange citrus nose. In the mouth it’s orange citrus forward and smooth malt background. Similar lingering finish. Very nice! 3.8.

Cask at the brewpub. Pours light gold in color with a faint white head. Citrus and hop aroma. Medium body and light bitterness which was refreshing after a week+ in NW Oregon. Probably a nice IPA on tap and in bottle but the cask version hits the spot.

"this one well received as well, though i’ve seen wild fluctuation in the quality of organic brews. This one just didn’t do it for me. Nothing stands out, one of the most boring of the night, and a sub par ipa. 2014 - another HUB beer that sucked in a can but was nice at the pub (cask). 2.6-3.5."

Cask version at H.U.B. in SE Portland. Visited this location as part of my NW brew tour ’14. The brewpub itself is first rate and should be part of any brew tour of Portlandia. I’m not a huge fan of IPA’s, but I always go for a cask conditioned version of the ale. I’ve noticed that the aging process mellows out the bitterness and allows the hop flavor to come to the fore. This version has everything you’d want in an IPA: full flavor, nice aroma, good color. HUB’s cask version of their IPA is a top notch example of the style.

660 ml. Tasting session with my friend Franky.

Can from Elephant’s Deli in Portland. Pours dark golden with a thin white head. Nose is hops, grapefruit, pine. Flavor follows with good balance and a bitter finish. Really liked this one.
