My 1600th US rating. Draft. An amber beer with a slight haze with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet amlty with light notes of hops. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of hops - so strong, that they burn in the throat and leaves strong notes of grass, and a dry bitter finish.

2011-03-15, draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver, 7-4-7-5-15=38
Deep blond color; creamy head. Good aromatic hops, fresh nose, citrusy, a bit sweaty. Good toffee flavor, dry but not too much, with a very strong and aromatic hopping, resiny and fruity, citrusy, leading to a long final. Very good.

2011-02-28, bottle from Liberty Wine, Robson St., Vancouver, 7-4-7-5-15=38
Hazy golden color; medium sized head, reducing to a thin creamy uneven layer. The aroma is extremely resiny and citrusy. The mouthfeel is quite dry, with toffee flavor; powerful hopping, mostly resiny, with some citrusy fruitiness. Long resiny final. Apparently fresh; appreciated for it’s aggressiveness on the resins.

Mostly clear orange-yellow color, mostly vanishing white head. Fruity with some exotic fruityness and citrusy nose. Evident Amarillo with flowery notes. Medium-bodied. Quite citrusy (Centennial bitterness) flavor with fruity-bready background. Lingering citrus-fruity bitterness. Clean, excellent IPA.
