Aroma – Nice strong Belgian yeast and Belgian beer aroma. Very fruity and yeasty.
Appearance – Light Orange in color, Nice head and clear.
Flavor – A strong Belgian this was. Deep in flavor, fruity, floral and rich malts.
Palate – Nice Mouthfeel, great texture with a Belgian finish.
Overall – Nit a huge fan of Belgians but this was actually pretty good. Easy to drink it was not overpowering and hit you in the tummy Belgian. Very nice beer and will try more when I have a chance.
troopie (446), USA May 5, 2008 Poured pale golden with thick white head. Very strong floral aroma. Very fruity flavour with a bit of bitterness in the finish. This bier looks and tastes like a fine gouden, and the alcohol strength is very much disguised. boFNjackson (482), Portland, Oregon, USA Apr 20, 2008 Tap @ HUB... Poured a pale orange with a thin surface head. Aroma of esters and hops. Highly carbonated with flavors of cloves and hops that have an overall smokey, roasted presence. Followed by warming alcohol that soothes the esophagus. Finishes with a malt and ginger sweetness. DA (2289), Portland, Oregon City, Oregon, USA Apr 6, 2008 On tap at the 2008 Cheers to Belgian Beers event. Pours gold with a soft fizzy white head. Dry and spicy aroma, citrus and a touch of alcohol present. Very dry and crisp on the palate with a soft fruitiness to the finish. Angeloregon (1549), Portland, Oregon, USA Apr 1, 2008 Poured into a stemmed glass at HUB on opening day--A rich copper-golden-amber body. Cloudy with a bouncy white head. Sweet, yeasty, and somewhat tart. Boozy as it warms up, but alcohol well masked. Flavorful and spicy. Excellent beer!
