3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Aubrey (3193) - Bellingham, USA - JAN 9, 2012
Curiously interesting beer. Earthy-yeasty nose. Bold sweetness made me think of rock candy, Astro pops and caramel. Hops made me think of sweetgrass, holiday spices and pepper. Alcohol was a bit throat warming. Mild bitterness, relatively speaking. Found it interesting that they’re growing the same hops I grow in my backyard on San Juan Island, which is just across the bay from my house. Overall, I found this beer to be flavorful and interesting.

(22oz bottle) Pours a lightly hazy amber body with a small white head. Aroma of orange, grass, and biscuit. Flavor of caramel, spruce, grass, earth, and orange with a dry, somewhat bitter finish.

Pours a cloudy golden orange. Aroma of honey, butterscotch, citrus, caramel malts. Flavour of the above, including orange peel, and some floral notes. Dry aftertaste.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours hazy orange amber with a creamy/bubbly beige head. Aromas of light stone fruit and something herb/floral. Med+ body. Flavor is sort of Belgian. Medium stone fruit, yeast/spice, citrus/earthy hop. It has a lingering low level of maltiness in the finish, but there’s enough spice and bitter to put that in place. Rather mouthsmacking.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 BrewDad (3700) - Olympia, Washington, USA - JAN 12, 2012
Dark amber in color, clear with a thin head. Intresting flavor in a good way. Lots of hops and chocolaty aroma and flavor. This was a slick tasting beer with an awesome name.

Bottle thanks to googzoid10. Thin dark amber pour, hazy, with thin head. Nose of light herbal hops, floral, touch of caramel malts. Taste of caramel malts, mild apple citrus fresh hops character, bitter finish. Thin in the mouth, almost a juice-like quality because of low carbonation. I really like the label, but the brew is just alright, I can imagine it was better when more fresh.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 dresden (268) - Saskatchewan, CANADA - DEC 5, 2011
Sample at brewery. I guess a copper or amber colour, but pretty hazy. Tastes good, not unlike an IPA I guess. A little more bitter and less citrus than their IPA. It’s ok, not a standout for me.

22 oz. bottle, split several ways, pours a cloudy orange amber with a small beige head. Aroma of dry caramel malt, dry citrus hops and a hint of dried fruits. Flavour is both strong on the malts and hops, with a decent amount of sweetness, sweet / tangy tropical fruits, finishing on the fruit notes and some bitter, hoppy orange peel. Solid, if unspectacular strong ale.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 after4ever (4500) - Brier, Washington, USA - NOV 21, 2011
22. Pours a murky bronzed dark amber with a loose scattered tan head. Big sweet toffee and graham cracker nose. Getting kind of smore-y without the chocolate, actually--there seems to be a bit of marshmallow there. Creamy medium body, lots of sweetness from residual sugars: toffee, caramel, honey, graham cracker. A little bit of oily hop orange blossom quality as well. Mild finish. Aside from the cool fact of using Pig War as a name (which a Washington brewery should have gotten organized and done first), there’s not much to talk about here.

Oh yeah motherfuckers! 10th rating bitch, lock this ho in manne. Brrrrrrr! Intersting honey, doughy malt notes on the nose. Very english - hops are earthy and herbal with a little fruit and floral notes here and there. Pours hazy reddish amber, thin head, soft sheets of lace. The flavor is malty with notes of honey, dough, biscuit, toffee followed by herbal peppery hops, some light fruity sweetness, a little sugars here and there. Definitely almost leafy and vegetal finishing with a little bit of alcoholic heat and peppery hops. Bitey carbonation in hte finish. As the greatest rater in the history of the internet would say, "meh" (WeeheavySD, 2009). See the proper citation as well bitches, what do you know about that?
