Draft at Hood River Hops Fest 2007. A hazy amber beer with a thick orangey head. The aroma is sweet with notes of grass and grapefruits. The flavor is sweet with very strong notes of grass and hops.

Tap. Red. Sweet caramel malt aroma, light citrus. Malty, malty, some citrus going on. Not enough bitter to balance the sweet for me.

Draught at Porque No in Portland. The tacos were amazing. But this red complimented the meal. Hoppy red with full body and a really nice taste.

Draught. Poured deep copper red with tan head. much lacing. Hoppy aroma. Medium body with malt, hops and flowers. lingering bitterish finish. This didn’t taste as hoppy as most IPAs but definitely stars as a red ale.

Tap at Green Dragon. Nice hop aroma and character. Pours with a nice tight white head with some lacing. A bit hazy, must be unfiltered. Some light roasty notes in the middle of the beer with a semi-sweet finish. A pleasant beer that I’ll sample again.

On tap at Belmont Station--Poured a golden-orange amber hue. Medium-sized creamy head. Floral and resinous but flowery and semi-sweet. Mild grassiness/earthiness with sweet caramel hints. A wonderfully rounded West Coast IPA to rival some of the best like Rogue’s Dry-Hop Red and Mad River WCIPA. Yum!

Draft at Belmont Station: Pours a copper reddish color with a 1 finger off-white head. Aroma is caramel malts and floral hops with botn notes of pine and citrus. Flavor is malty and medium to high hop bitterness with lots of floral and somewhat earthy hops. Tiny hints of citrus. Also notes of carmelized candy sugars but not as sweet as that would make it sound. Reminds me of a more malty carmelly west coast ipa. Really good.
