it’s a "red" but ratebeer calls it a pale ale, interesting. to me it’s definitely more red than pale. very good.

From the can, earthy and malty with some nice hops in the flavor. Nice flavor profile. Tasty! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tall can from Belmont Station. Bold amber body with medium, nutty head. Nose is hoppy with rich malts and nuts and spices in there. Taste is lots of malts up front, some subdued spices, then becomes hoppier and citrus. Gets nice and bitter in the finish. Really nice considering it’s from a can!

A mellow, dusty hop nose. Piney notes amongst the caramel and nutty malt flavours. Quite a bitter finish. A thick and mellow carbonation too. Session-city.

On draught at Hopworks. Piney hop aroma. Citrus hops and a slight creamy maltiness in the taste. Finishes with a soft hop bitterness.

Appearance has an amber red color supporting a dissipating cream head and spotty lace. Smell has a sweet citric malt aroma with light floral hop. Taste again with the sweet malt married with a nice balance of hops. Mouthfeel having a medium viscous feel with good carbonation. Overall a very nice NW red.

Bottled.Slightly hazy amber colour with a mediumsized creamy off-white head. Aroma is caramel, fruity and floral notes with some slight sweet maltyness as well. Flavour is quite bready, mildly caramelly with some citrus, mild floral and some slight resiny and wooden notes.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver, Oct. 6. Pours a deep hazy orange-amber with a creamy off-white head. Nice aroma of citrusy hops backed by caramel malt. Hoppy flavour along with caramel malt and an average bitter finish. Medium bodied. Good stuff, I quite enjoyed it, especially for a Red.

Pours a slightly hazy orange-amber with impressive pillowy head retention. As the beer settled, the haze seemed to clear for a filtered look - interesting. Nose is grapefruit, pine, and a touch of sweet malt. Taste is similar, predominant in citrus and pine, with caramel malt balance. Finish is more bitter than maybe typical for an American Red; expected for and American Pale perhaps, quite mild to my IPA-ready palate. Hints of sour biscuits on the finish, too. A satisfyingly solid brew, nothing mind-blowing, but nice to drink. Not really labeled correctly as an American Red, but I see this site has taken care of that by re-classification.

(22oz bomber thanks to bu11zeye) clearish amber, soapy white bubbles. Nose of candied citrus, rich caramel, honey, dank. Taste of Watery hops, caramel, honey, bit toasty.
