On draught at Hopworks. Piney hop aroma. Citrus hops and a slight creamy maltiness in the taste. Finishes with a soft hop bitterness.

Appearance has an amber red color supporting a dissipating cream head and spotty lace. Smell has a sweet citric malt aroma with light floral hop. Taste again with the sweet malt married with a nice balance of hops. Mouthfeel having a medium viscous feel with good carbonation. Overall a very nice NW red.

Bottled.Slightly hazy amber colour with a mediumsized creamy off-white head. Aroma is caramel, fruity and floral notes with some slight sweet maltyness as well. Flavour is quite bready, mildly caramelly with some citrus, mild floral and some slight resiny and wooden notes.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver, Oct. 6. Pours a deep hazy orange-amber with a creamy off-white head. Nice aroma of citrusy hops backed by caramel malt. Hoppy flavour along with caramel malt and an average bitter finish. Medium bodied. Good stuff, I quite enjoyed it, especially for a Red.

Pours a slightly hazy orange-amber with impressive pillowy head retention. As the beer settled, the haze seemed to clear for a filtered look - interesting. Nose is grapefruit, pine, and a touch of sweet malt. Taste is similar, predominant in citrus and pine, with caramel malt balance. Finish is more bitter than maybe typical for an American Red; expected for and American Pale perhaps, quite mild to my IPA-ready palate. Hints of sour biscuits on the finish, too. A satisfyingly solid brew, nothing mind-blowing, but nice to drink. Not really labeled correctly as an American Red, but I see this site has taken care of that by re-classification.

(22oz bomber thanks to bu11zeye) clearish amber, soapy white bubbles. Nose of candied citrus, rich caramel, honey, dank. Taste of Watery hops, caramel, honey, bit toasty.

Red-amber with good, creamy, beige head / Perfumed nose of citrus and pine / Medium body, a touch watery, with otherwise good balance and lightly bitter finish / Muted flavors of grapefruit, pine, and caramel / A solid, if unremarkable, apa.

22 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours fairly hazy reddish orange color with a nice 2 finger dense cream colored head with great retention, that reduces to a nice thick cap that lingers. Some good foamy lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, caramel, orange, toast, pine, herbal, floral, and earthiness. Pretty nice aromas with good strength and balance; quite a bit of sweetness, a little bit stale feeling. Taste of grapefruit, caramel, toast, biscuit, pine, floral, orange, and herbal spiciness. Good amount of spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, caramel, pine, toast, bread, and herbal spiciness on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance of sweetness/bitterness; with a good overall balance and complexity of flavors. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy and crisp mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very good red ale. Nice hoppy flavor with good malt balance; very smooth to drink. Nicely enjoyable offering. Questioning the age of this though.

Beautiful sweet aroma that hits the right spot. The flavor is nice and crisp with a slight dry after taste almost like the after taste of grapefruit. A very pleasant experience and one well worth trying. Goes great with wheat crackers and Cheddar cheese.

Hazy amber color, with creamy head. Some aroma of caramel and hops, but light; limited citrusy touch from the hops. Some caramel aroma; the mouthfeel is lean and rather dry; powerful hopping, very bitter, with limited resins and almost no hop fruits.
Thirstquencher, quite good, an Amber Ale with a lot of hops.
