Pours darker than their stout. Nice, interesting citrus/pine hop aroma, matched in the flavor, which adds some roastiness. Nice - best on their taplist aside from the IPA.

Sasparilla black body with browned froth head. Lovely merging of carafa roast and cascade hops. Clean, de-bittered roast presence with rolling waves of floral cascade goodness and chocolate undertones. The finish is also Cascade juicy bitterness.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours very dark brown with a 3 finger creamy tan head. The aroma is hop. Seems rather resin. Med plus body. Flavor is some sweet charred caramel with pine/citrus/floral/godonlyknows hop. It’s very bitter. Much more charred than other BIPAs. I can imagine a touch of coffee. The nose is great. The taste is great. It has much more oomph than 6.5% would suggest. A really great ale.

650ml bottle from Brewery Creek in Vancouver. Pours very dark brown with pillowy off white head. Lots of perfumey floral hops balanced with roasted dark malt. Moderate bitterness lingers in the finish. Very floral. Quality.

Pour is a dark brown with tons of ruby red highlights. The head is beautifully creamy looking and a light beige. The head looks absolutely delicious. Aroma is hop forward with a large grapefruit hop. Roasty espresso, chocolate and burnt notes. The middle is sweet and sweet with a dark roasty malt and coffee. The finish is quite bitter and finishes with a burnt roasted coffee bean flavour. I love this beer as a CDA or Black IPA. Very sweet, roasty and hoppy. Hand in hand, they work together in this beer.

Taste pine/citrus hops, resiny hops, grapefruit, roast, coffee, chocolate, awesome bitter taste. MF Medium body good carb. Overall aside from a strange smell outstanding taste good bitterness and roast mix. Thanks Manuchampions!!!

22 oz bomber from "Lifesource" Salem. $4.95 Screen printed label..in the colours of the "Doug Fir" flag of the Republic of Cascadia. Mahogany dark brown ale with a nice thick creamy tan head. Great herbal, citric and pine tones from the hops in the aroma, hint of coffee from the malts. Surprising taste..very balanced but at the same time wildly swinging from the piney hops to the dark chocolate, toasted malts..then balanced again. Great mouthfeel very captivating..and a very tasty bitter after taste that lingers..like good dark esspresso coffee. Over all a very nice CDA

Bomber. More dark brown than black in appearance along with an inch of foamy tan head. Lots of ripe citrus and floral hops in the aroma in addition to roast malt and chocolate toward the end. Strong herbal hops bitterness leads off the taste followed by some grapefruit, mint and pine. The malt flavors are burnt and roasty with bittersweet chocolate and espresso highlights. Mildly creamy mouthfeel with strong carbonation and more bitter roastiness in the finish. Nice blend of Pacific Northwest hops varieties and roasted malt flavors.

Bottle from Brewery Creek, Vancouver
Black color, with medium sized beige head. Very nice aroma of coffee, some roasted malt, light dust and hops. Good body structure, dark chocolate and coffee flavor, quite dry mouthfeel, with a strong bitterness; it ends with loads of roasted malts, and hidden hop resins, but never ashy. Very good.
