Bottle from Sugaya, shared at Takatsuki Jazz Street. Served in a mini-half-pint glass. Itís a cola brown pour with a thick tan head that dissipates leaving a brown film clinging to the glass. In the glass it is basically black with a strong roast coffee & pecan? aroma. Full bodied, sweet lactic milk chocolate with a roast coffee blend. Middle of the road flavor wise but incredibly appetizing. A really great low ABV stout, just 5.3%! My favorite of the day, damn good.

Bomber from Portland via the lake beer fridge. Pours a rich black with thinish head. Some lacing. Nose is mild; initial taste screams coffee and chocolate...very tasty. Smooth / full mouthfeel. Wish we could get this here.

I love this beer and this brewery. Itís a dark black roasty malt with a great coffee nose. I donít taste seven grains, just stout and coffee, Iím sure I can survive on it though!

Sharp peppery taste, black with small beige head. Aroma is normal stout dark malt. Slick, slippery mouthfeel, lingering pepper finish

Growler from Chuckís 85th. Pours deep inky brown with medium mocha head that fades quickly and laces well. Aroma is big espresso notes, lightly sweet dark chocolate malt, with dry oaky flavors as well. Taste is rich super smooth roasty chocolate malt, mild but noticeable bitterness, and sweet nutty espresso that really jumps out on the finish. Perfectly balanced, amazingly rich and flavorful particularly for such a low abv. One of the best stouts around; and organic as well. Really impressive.

On tap. Pours a very dark brown with light tan head. Aromas of coffee, fruit and malts. Flavors are similar but stronger with define black coffee notes and a slight sour fruitiness. Nice.

Had on draft at the brewery. The aroma is big dark chocolate notes, coffee. The flavor is chocolate, coffee, roasted malts. The coffee in this is very clean and does not have any green pepper notes.
