Bomber poured a clear reddish brown with a small lasting creamy tan head. Aromas of carmel, cocoa, light roasted malt and light coffee. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of bakers cocoa, roasted malt and light coffee with a crisp dry lingering roasty finish.

22 ounce bottle into pint glass, late 2012 bottling. Pours crystal clear almost opaque dark brown color with a 1-2 finger dense tan head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of big roasted coffee beans, milk chocolate, roasted malt, cocoa, caramel, oatmeal, toast, light char, and roasted earthiness. Fantastic aromas with great balance and complexity of roasted notes with plenty of coffee presence. Taste of roasted coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, cocoa, light char, oatmeal, toast, caramel, and roasted earthiness. Fair amount of coffee bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, cocoa, light char, oatmeal, toast, caramel, and earthiness on the finish for a bit. Very nice balance and complexity of roasted flavors with coffee; with a good bitterness/sweetness balance and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a moderately creamy and smooth mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is an excellent American stout style. Very nice balance and complexity of roasted and coffee flavors with the multiple grains used; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Noir avec une petite mousse beige. L’arôme du café. Le goût est fort du café avec un peu de malt. Pas très amer, juste un peu en la finale.

Black pour, moderate head, low uninteresting aroma. Taste is light roasted malt with little complexity or interesting flavor notes. Thin mouthfeel. Far from what I look for in a stout.

From a 22 oz bottle shared at home. Hint of ash in the toasted malt nose. Coffee comes on strong along with a melange of toasted grain flavors. Smooth finish.

This came in a trade a while back. Trying to make some room for new arrivals I cracked it open the night before a road trip. This is a very coffee driven stout as the description implies. If you like that track one down.

Aroma / Appearance - The fluid brownish black pour seeks the bottom of the glass before climbing up into a thick cocoa head. Coffee of all kinds blend with roasted malts and a latent nutty feel. In the mix are smoky fireplace ashes

Flavor / Palate - Malt, dark chocolate, and coffee grounds are the main aspects of a heady experience. The dry finish of roasted almonds rises to the pleasant bitterness. This also gets kudos from being an organic beer that I can actually enjoy.

Jet black pour with a single finger tan head. Aroma is strong with coffee. Mouth is light, but pleasant. Taste is sweet at first followed by a hard blast of espresso. Finish lingers like a cup of coffee. For as low alcohol as this is, this is very full flavored.
