Poured a beautiful dark brown from a bottle. Thin tan head, strong toasty aromas. The coffee really shines through and is nicely balanced by the maltiness. I have yet to find a beer that had too much coffee, and there may not be such a thing. I will definitely come back to this one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

"This should be in coffee stout (if we’re gonna break stouts up into 99 catergories). Aroma is light. Earthy hops and roast. Smells a bit young. Body is average, as is the taste, even though I am a sucker for coffee stouts. Moderately bitter with light coffee. Not quite a letdown, but under average for the style - average overall. 2014 - in tap at HUB, a totally different coffeerific beer. 3.2-4.0"

Can pour. Pours black. Nice dark malt aroma with some coffee. Nice roasted coffee flavors throughout. Overall, another good stout here. Nothing particularly standing out as unique, but good stuff.

Tap at Hopworks BikeBar. Light creamy coffee nose. good roast malt. Dark translucent brown. Coffee springs up right away, not scorched as so many are, lightly sweet, with mild roastiness, and the roast extends to the finish. Medium body. Light, pleasant, gentle stout.

Pours motor oil black, which is a very nice start, in my eyes. thin tan head that dissipates quickly. Rich aroma of bitter chocolate and coffee. Tastes echoes this very nicely indeed. Nicely sweet without being overly so, just a bit of bittersweet chocolate on the finish to keep it balanced. I’d have a bottle of this for breakfast.

Tap @ brewpub. Erica and Matt N. Black pour, light brown head, really drinkable, slightly roasty just beyond an Irish stout but not too heavy duty. Light-bodied and refreshing for a stout. Was fun.

Can. Pours a near black color with a smallish off white head on it. Nose is very roasty with some great dark roasted coffee elements to it. Taste is slightly bitter and very roasty. Smooth like an iced coffee. Really tasty.

On tap at the brewpub - Pours dark brown with a beige head. The aroma has smooth roast, lots of chocolate and vanilla. It has a medium smooth body with soft carbonation. The flavor has the chocolate from the aroma along with dark caramel and coffee. The finish brings in some creamy vanilla. Ultra smooth and full flavored. Solid stout.

Smooth, roasty and malty stout with some licorice, coffee with some spicy notes. Okay.

Bottle from Sugaya, shared at Takatsuki Jazz Street. Served in a mini-half-pint glass. It’s a cola brown pour with a thick tan head that dissipates leaving a brown film clinging to the glass. In the glass it is basically black with a strong roast coffee & pecan? aroma. Full bodied, sweet lactic milk chocolate with a roast coffee blend. Middle of the road flavor wise but incredibly appetizing. A really great low ABV stout, just 5.3%! My favorite of the day, damn good.
