Poured out of a 22oz bottle into a tulip glass. A dark brown, opaque pour with a light tan inch of head. Smells like coffee, caramel, burnt malt and molasses. Wow. Amazing. Tastes of burnt malt, coffee and slightly sweet malt at the end. Very good. Light to medium body. Almost non-existent carbonation. Easily a daily drinker. Excellent flavor and too drinkable. The smell is really the star here. Incredible.

Bomber. Nose of chocolate, cream, cocoa, a bit of Sprite. Black with lace. Sweet chocolate and cafe au lait flavors, light tang, good balance. Likeable.

Bottle (Vintage Cellars Elsternwick). Black with a light tan head. Aroma of caramel, coffee, roasted barley. Smooth texture, moderate carbonation - still a bit astringent though. Lots of (OK but not interesting) coffee, moderate roasted flavours, husks, some dark chocolate. Clean moderately bitter finish. I don’t really understand why you’d make a big thing of a complicated exotic mixture of grains... and then wallop it with coffee, but a nice and very drinkable drop.

pours dark black with off white head and some lacing. Aroma is dark roast and coffee. Taste is straightforward coffee with some bitterness on the back and some milk chocolate and dark chocolate mixed in, Has a little bit of wood aftertaste. The idea behind this is wonderful, but the execution is a little lacking.

Dark brown pour tan head. Aroma coffee, honey, whole wheat crackers. Acidic like coffee. Tastes like sugar puffs cereal. Licorice, wood. Clean finish like cold brew coffee. Some char, but subdued. I like these light bodied stouts.

A decent coffee stout. Pours a nice inky black with a thin tan head. Smells of coffee mostly, with some vanilla and toasted marshmallow. In the taste, we get chocolate milk right off the bat, with lots of bitter coffee coming in later. Not the most complex. Had in the bottle.

Pours jet black with a light mocha head. Aroma of roasted malts, light chocolate, big bitter coffee. Drinks smooth. Light body and not too rich and heavy.

"This should be in coffee stout (if we’re gonna break stouts up into 99 catergories). Aroma is light. Earthy hops and roast. Smells a bit young. Body is average, as is the taste, even though I am a sucker for coffee stouts. Moderately bitter with light coffee. Not quite a letdown, but under average for the style - average overall. 2014 - in tap at HUB, a totally different coffeerific beer. 3.2-4.0"

Can pour. Pours black. Nice dark malt aroma with some coffee. Nice roasted coffee flavors throughout. Overall, another good stout here. Nothing particularly standing out as unique, but good stuff.

Tap at Hopworks BikeBar. Light creamy coffee nose. good roast malt. Dark translucent brown. Coffee springs up right away, not scorched as so many are, lightly sweet, with mild roastiness, and the roast extends to the finish. Medium body. Light, pleasant, gentle stout.
