Bottled sample from the 2009 vintage, shared with oakbluff. Gold in colour with spritzy and strong carbonation. Aromas are of lemon curd, funk and herbs (especially fresh thyme and white pepper). Flavors are of lemon peel, dry wood, a bit of fresh cheese and minerals. Sour and dry on the palate. Not as harmonious as some of the individual contributors are on their own, but still quite tasty.

Great overall blend of geuze. Nose of green unripe fruits, fine lactic notes in the taste. Not to overwhelminig acidity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Yeah, I really like this gueuze. Highly citric; lemon citrus all day! Funky cheese, lemon lime, straw, citrus to spare.

Bottle (2009 vintage) @ a recent tasting... Poured golden with a thick forming white head. Nice retention. This was a great tasting gueze that I would love to revisit. Bright citrus with acidic tartness and some funky yeast musk. Not as intense as the Armand Zomar 4 we had at the same tasting, but this one held its own. Sour and dry in the finish.

750mL bottle at Kulminator, pours a cloudy golden orange with a very large off-white head and quite a bit of sediment. Nose is quite dusty and yeasty, with dusty soured light dried fruits and loads of sediment. Flavour is quite a bit more inviting -- very funky, full of dusty barnyard funk notes, a little sour apricot, cardboard and yeast. One of the dustier gueuzes I’ve had, though not in an "off-note" type of way. Quite complex with many layers, though I’m not sure this quite enters the league of the best gueuzes out there. Certainly excellent though.

Huge white head floating atop a clear golden elixir. Some of lacing. Nice woody, earthy aroma. Slight citrusy nose mixed with a funkiness. A sweet twang. The aromas are in the taste as well. But more of a mango taste. Finish is slightly tart. Not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

@ De Heeren van Liedekercke. 2009, 2011 and 2013 samples. Totally agree with yiannos below, we had the samples together, so I quote him "Acidic citrusy, barnyard aromas. 2009 version had little aroma, but was more acidic. 2011 was the best of the 3"

Bottle 75 cl, 2011 vintage, BBE 2030. Pours golden in color with a small white head. Light vinegar, some stable notes and a bit of garden fruits in aroma. Slight chewy mouthfeel at first which turns into more of a sparkling mouthfeel. Sour in taste, some tart applefruity notes and a bit of wheaty notes as well in taste. Seems to be quite well balanced and it’s just a pleasure to enjoy this gueuze. A bit of fruity lemon notes appears in aftertaste. Really pleasant taste with some sour notes, a bit of fruity sweetness and fresh apple tartness.

Bottle. Not well cared. Pours a clear yellow with no head. Taste is very dry and yogurt like. Disappointing.
