Deep copper Orange with a giant white head. Sour nose comes through while I am pouring. Light band aid notes with bubble gum in the nose. Tart flavor that has plenty of band aid and some light banana. Very nice supper to start the afternoon with.

Hazy dark yellow body and a large rocky white head. Aroma is earthy, basement aromas, citrus. The taste is heavily sour, and light bitter. Well balanced and easy to drink.

2013 edition. Hazy dark yellow with a pale head. Aroma is barnyard funk, sharp cheese, lemon rind, stone fruits. Acidic on the palate, hints of fruity sweetness on the background, nice dry finish. Taste is stone fruits, grape skins, cider vinegar, lemon rind. Nice blend!

2012 bottle from Tom10101, thanks buddy! Yellow hazy pour, crisp white head. Aroma, rotten cheese, horse shit, lemon but really a lot of horse shit, not a bad thing though, just the what you would expect with style.Taste, sharp lemon, grass, lots of funk, more sharpness drops off a cliff with a dry finish, almost no sweetness. Really nice blend!

750 ml, 2011 edition. Wonderfully complex aroma of barnyard and funk, citrus, brett, oak, yeast, sour apples. Flavour is equally interesting, medium tartness, sour apples. Love the level of carbonation in this beer. Wonderfully balanced for a blend of this scope.

Well integrated, lovley aromas, great comlplexity, yet not quite reaching the heights that I know geuzes can do.

2013-01-31. Hazy dark yellow body with a small tan head. 3+ Aroma is pleasantly funky and barnyardy. 7++ Flavour is moderately sour and fairly barnyard funky throughout. Sourness comes in waves but never really sustains itself. Average bodied palate, soft carbonation. Surprisingly accessible yet complex. Having said that the sourness grows as it goes. A very enjoyable geuze, but lacks the distinctiveness of some of the best examples. 2011 Vintage Bottle 018076 shared by Blankboy

[My bottle (750ml) shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jercraigs & mabel -- c/o Glouglouburp. 2011 vintage, No. 018076] Pours a murky orange with an average size semi-lasting frothy white head. Nice aroma, yeasty and citrusy along with sour fruit, a bit of vinegar, wood. earthy notes and more. Flavour is tart, sour, funky and vinegary along with some wood and a dry, earthy finish. Medium bodied. Great stuff!

09 11 13 vertical at Sloshfest. 2009 and 2013 are equally good, liked the 2011 a bit less. Colour and aroma components are typical to especially Boon & Girardin, while the 2011 is a bit more Mort Subite & Oud Beersel woody/harsch flavoured. 2009/2013 are also softer, smoother and a tad more complex. Overall score = average of all.
