4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
@ De Heeren van Liedekercke. 2009, 2011 and 2013 samples.
Totally agree with yiannos below, we had the samples together, so I quote him "Acidic citrusy, barnyard aromas. 2009 version had little aroma, but was more acidic. 2011 was the best of the 3"

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle 75 cl, 2011 vintage, BBE 2030. Pours golden in color with a small white head. Light vinegar, some stable notes and a bit of garden fruits in aroma. Slight chewy mouthfeel at first which turns into more of a sparkling mouthfeel. Sour in taste, some tart applefruity notes and a bit of wheaty notes as well in taste. Seems to be quite well balanced and it’s just a pleasure to enjoy this gueuze. A bit of fruity lemon notes appears in aftertaste. Really pleasant taste with some sour notes, a bit of fruity sweetness and fresh apple tartness.

Bottle. Not well cared. Pours a clear yellow with no head. Taste is very dry and yogurt like. Disappointing.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: MAY 11, 2015 HORAL blend 2013. 75cl bottle shared by 3 @Grote Dorst, Toer de Geuze 2013. - none too acidic, mildly zest-bitter (older peels) and rather earthy, apple cider-like geuze, smooth and enjoyable for a blend this democratic, that would only benefit and gain complexity from some aging. 7% abv very well tucked away and serving a full and rich taste to complement its rich and earthy environment. To paraphrase Wallace Stevens: it is almost possible "to taste the nothing that has not been turned into this cultured brew". // // 2015 Edition sampled at Tilquin English Beer festival and during Toer de Geuze 2015 + bottle No. 01476 shared at home: very easygoing lemonade and green apple cider Oude Geuze with a younish brett profile midway between Oud Beersel and the sweeter malts of Boon. Drying, quenching, with a tad watery core maybe. Missing a bit ot grapefruit/citrus zest from the old hops, but there’s ample lime pith and late gentle earthy funk. Good entry level geuze, this Anniversary Mega Blend 2015. //////
Note: please someone split up these very different versions? (2009-11-13-15)

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at Toer de Geuze 2013.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
2013 Horal blend, 37.5cl glass poured from a 75cl bottle at Boon Brewery during the Tour of Gueze. Early days to be drinking this one. the recommendation on the bottle is to keep this until 2015 at the earliest.
Poured cloudy Into the glass with a big frothy head. A light fresh gueze.. Perhaps explained by it’s youth. Lacking the depth of the previous blends at this point. One to come to in a few years.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 ml bottle shared at RBSG ’10. Pours a hazy golden hint of orange color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is funky, gueuze, tart lemon, bread with honey, barnyard. The flavor has tart, spritzy lemony citrus, funk, bready notes. This is not too over the top; quite drinkable and pretty smooth.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle compliments of Eric, huge thanks for this sour treat. Pours a hazy orange with medium head. Aromas and taste of super sour peach, very light oxidation, copper, oak, leather, barn, and funk. So salivating and horsed out yo.
