4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, 2009 vintage, 11/19/2012. Pours light caramel chestnut, foamy rocky head, fades eventually leaving sudsy lacing, champagne bubbles around side of glass. Aroma of grapefruit pulp with citrus, tart green apples and pear, leathery barnyard funk to balance with musty oak character. Taste is bright, tart green apple and white grape, vinous, with nice acidity, moderate funk, vanilla, with sour fruity finish. Light, lively, refreshing body, champagne-like carbonation. Nice, fruity geuze but still balanced.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
75cl bottle paired with dim sum. Pours a misty orange, fresh funk aroma. Taste is wonderfully crisp, complex and super refreshing with a buzzsaw sourness. Perhaps not as sharp as expected but the prickly grapefruit and lemon zest in the background make up for that. A very enjoyable one this.

At a friends, beer tasting evening. 2015 edition, 75cl bottle. The review is written from memory, so not very detailed...
Pour: dark orange, golden amber. Medium-low carbonation, good foam.
Nose: Citrus, funk, flowers.
Taste: Awesome sourness, lemon, tart, fruits, funk.
Verdict: Probably the best gueuze I have tasted yet! Really nice and balanced, with a dominant and clean sourness. The flavour was perfect for me!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
0.75l corked bottle, No 05955 shared with The Tasting Crew. This one pours a cloudy darker orangey colored body with a medium sized quickly fading white top. Smells nice. Both sweet and dusty. Old cheese, generic fruits and a nice smooth sourness. Mild wet lemons and ham. Really complex and not bad at all. It has a good dandelion bitterness, lots of woody yeast. A really thick and almost syrupy mouthfeel on this and it’s soft and near prickling on the bubbles. Woody and mild sour. More bitter than sour. A little tomato essens and tartness, melony fruits, a little white sugar lightness and it’s somewhat lightdrinkable despite the relatively high abv. Tasty and somewhat refreshing. 04.08.2016

Sampled at Mechazilla’s epic insanity tasting session. Quite an epic blend, can feel lemon, apple, berries, nice balance, smooth mouthfeel, dry finish. Nice one, very smooth and enjoyable blend, maybe I expected it a tad richer though.
