Cask at the Marble Arch Inn. Clear gold with a lasting white head. Wheat, malts, slight roastiness, quite mellow on the blackcurrant. Which is a good thing, doesn’t taste like a fruit based drink for the ladies.

Cask (handpump) @ The Crescent, 20 The Crescent, Salford, Manchester, England M5 4PF.
Clear dark amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, nutty, berry - blackcurrant, light yeasty, soap. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat to soft. [20090123]

Cask at Crescent, Manchester, Salford. A red amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty and fruity. The flavor is sweet with notes of berries - some black currant, making it a bit tart, leading to a dry berry finish. Not bad, but just a bad composition.

A Mes rate. Cask at the Marble Arch Inn. A very clean gold colour with a thin white head. Wheat, good malt and plenty of fruit of a similar variety to it’s name. Very sweet flavour with a balancing tart finish. Interesting but not amazing and I know Hornbeam can do a lot better.
