In bottle at home. Pours an amber - brown colour with a decent beige head. Aroma of caramel, apple seed, yeast and alcohol. Similar flavours. Quite fruity with a Granny Smith finish. Moderate carbonation and light CO2 prickle. OK.

500ml bottle. Clear amber couloured with huge frothy lasting white head. Cautious bitter hop aroma, strawy, notes of coniferes and clove. Monotonous but integrated taste, dry, strawy, grainy. Good mouthfeel, full, smooth and "concerted".

Ethereal (2399) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JUL 27, 2010
Cask at the Battersea Beer Festival, 12th Feb 2010. Reddish mid brown colour. Very hoppy nose and flavour for a "mild" - hence it being classified as a bitter here. Nutty, roasted malt flavour. Good dry finish. Really penetrating taste - it leaves an ash note at the back of the throat. I like it but I don’t know if I could drink it all evening.

Cask.. Sweet, cola-like nose, deep copper, small toffee head and some very pretty lace. Flavour is candied malt. Light bodied, sweet and drinkable. Good.

Cask at the Three Guineas, Reading. Reddish chesnut with a thin white head; aroma of autumn fruits; the flavour is fruity, but also dry with hints of black treacle; the finish has some sharply bitter hops and a touch of smoke. Excellent.

Cask in the Market Porter. Alround rating: Roasty malt, very bitter and burnt, dry grassy hop comes through also. The colaboration of burnt and grassy bitterness overpowers it. Not for me.

Cask Stillage from the Cellar at the Prince Of Wales, Foxfield 03/10/2009 Some fruit aroma. Amber coloured slightly hoppy and fruity with a little dryness in a crisp and bitter lasting malt finish.
