Danish: Vores bud på en anderledes stout med tørverøget malt. Her er tale om en rigtig mandfolkeøl med meget af det hele. Øllet er brygget på ristede bygmalte, birkerøget malt, tørverøget malt, karamelmalte og alemalt. Øllet er humlet mere end ellers for at balancere den kraftige maltprofil. Og hvornår kan man så drikke denne øl? Til maden er det en udpræget dessertøl eller til mørk chokolade. Kraftige oste er også et fint tilbehør, men det er altså også tilladt at drikke den uden noget til andet end en god lænestol.

Bottle. 10.0%. Best before 13.12.19. Pours black with a disappearing brown head. Aroma is roasted with a faint chocolate note, dark fruits and a damp/earthy note (’outhouse’). Flavour is sweetish and roasted with tar, light smoke and cold coffee notes. Light metallic note as well. Feels a bit cloying. Bitter, roasted, dar kfruit finish with a lingering grassy note. Overall pretty good, but lacks that last thing to make it great. 05.10.13.

Bottle @ Max. Pitch black, medium tan head that quickly settles, nice lacing. Aroma, roasted malts, smoke notes, licorice, wood, coffee, chocolate. Taste, roasted malts, smoked malts, dry liquorice, chocolate, wood, burnt sugar. Dry roasted smoke aftertaste. Nice mouth feel.

Fyldig lett røykt lukt med preg av mørk malt, humle, røykt spekeskinke, kaffi, mørk sjokolade, lakris, svidd gummi. Sødmerik lett "tynn" smak med preg av mørk malt, humle, askebeger, sukker, kaffi, mørk sjokolade, vanilje. God bitterhet som set litt. Grei.

Tap at Fermentoren, Copenhagen. Poured a dark mahogany with a broken tan head. The aroma is all about the coffee. The flavour is big liqourice and dark chocolate. The palate is surprisingly smooth. For the ABV the alcohol does not dominate.

@ Havregatan. Flaska från Systembolaget (65:-). Svart med ett underbart brunt skum, ganska oljig. Rejält fyllig stout, bra beska, smak av rök, tjära, russin?, choklad mm. En riktigt, riktigt god stout!

Keg @ Fermentoren. The pour’s deep brown with a small head. The nose is chocolate, ash, some burnt brown sugar. Toasted nut. The taste is more burnt toast. Caramel. Bitter chocolate. Nice hoppy tang on the finish. A bit of lemon. Medium body, smooth and easy to drink. Overall, decent.

Ket at Fermentorem - Copenhagen. Pours oily black with a moderate, creamy tan cap. Dark chocolate nose, chalky roast, burnt sugars. Medium to big sweet flavor, baking cocoa, light smoked meat. Full bodied with fine, creamy carbonation. Light dry chocolate finish, good roast, some meat, charred malts. Nice stuff overall.
