COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Danish: Englænderne bombarderede København i 1807.

0.5l bottle. Well, there is no coming around that this is an ale and it’s brown. A brown ale there for you, and it has a medium sized lingering and quite nicely lacing beige head. On the nose I get a surprising amount of citrussy hops combined with mild chocolate and chocolate milk tones. Mildly roasted and it also has traces of wet grass. Yeah, not bad at all this one. Tastes alright also. It feels light oily in the mouth and it’s just above average on the carbonation. Faint acidic woody tone here. A bit like old still kinda grey coffee that’s been on the pot a tad to long. Soft chocolaty paper with a strong bitterness. It’s not a masterpiece of a brown ale, but it’s not all that bad either really. 14.03.2014

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy dark copper brown wit airy light tan head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with notes of caramel and nuts and touches of fruit. Roasty flavour, enhanced by quite metallic bitternes, and less-than-perfectly offset by sweetish notes of yeast and malt. Lingering, roasty aftertaste. A drinkable Brown Ale but definitely not the best one I have had.

On tap @ Henrik, Bergen. Pours a hazy copper-hued body with a small creamy off-white head. Nose is biscuits, grains, mild raisins, nuts and hints of caramel. Taste is grainy malts, cereals, nuts, biscuits and hints of grass, caramel and burnt sugar. Medium body, medium to high carbonation. Very decent brown ale with no big surprises from Hornbeer.

Bunnfall igjen i flaska.
