COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Très bonne IS!

Grifo. On-tap. ½ pt glass. Enjoyed on mar´13. Pure black headed by creamy & lasting crown, beige in color. Roasted malt & black coffee grain aromas, hints of rum & alcohol, woody hints to the nose. Smooth & creamy malt upfront is shacked by pungent heat & intense coffee infusion. Full body. Moderate to soft carbonation. Dense texture. Dry bitter finish & coffee on the aftertaste. Excessive –despite of its name- rum notes.

On tap at Barcelona Beer Festival 2013. Small Pint (20cl). Pours a clear black colour with a generous light brown head, very nice. Both aroma and taste contain: Coffee, chocolate, roasted malts, rum and vanilla notes. No significant alcohol presence. The sweetness derived from the rum combines exceedingly well with the rest of the ingredients, so that’s definetely a succesful idea. The oak touch makes this brew awesome. Creamy mouthfeel, good carbonation. Delicious! great beer.

Bottle, 50cl - Opaque black oily beer with a large thick head. Aroma is malty with sweet notes of coconuts, creme brulee, vanilla, caramel, chocolate and coffee. Flavor is malty with notes of vanilla, chocolate, coconuts, roasted malt and lots of oak. At first not as rich or thick as thought but after a few seconds the mouthfeel becomes very thick and it becomes very obvious that the beer has been aged in rum casks.

500 ml bottle shared with czar, thank mate! Pours black with a resilient beige head. Smell is roast, chocolate, alcohol (rum?). Flavor is chocolate, coffee, dark rum. Boozey finish, good bitterness. Medium body, sticky mouthfeel. Just an excellent product.

pours black with a nice beige head, good retention and lacing. loads of piney and roastiness, some burnt malts, molasses, dark demerara, smoky, woody - vanilla hints, softly boozy and sweet, almost cloying. average to soft carbonation, full body, nice resinous finish. nice and good but kind of forgettable - burnt malts and sweetness gets at you.
