English: We have brewed on this beer on a long time and we finally think it is a should. A very majestic stout with a hint of roasted barley malt, smoke malt, coffee, some spices and to top it all a drop of rum. The beer has been seasoned on oak wood. This beer can stored many years in a dark closet or cellar, but is also ready to drink when it leaves our brewery. Buy an extra bottle and stash it for a special occasion in some years. It will develop like a god wine- only get better and better by the years.

Draught @Viisi Penniä 16.4.2012. Poured black with a thin creamy brown head. Aroma had vanilla, wood, licorice and rum. Flavor was similar, lots of licorice, vanilla, roasted malt, alcohol and some ash. Long roasted finish. Sweet, oily and sticky mouthfeel. Full bodied.

Bottled sample via Fred82 (I think), and shared with oakbluff. Near black in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas of red licorice, molasses, and a bit of chocolate. Flavours are of MacIntosh toffee, chocolate, a bit of roasty black malt, and faint orchard fruit. Only medium bodied, so a bit light for the style. Has a bit of "foreign stout" about it. Quite drinkable considering the alcohol level. Solid.

50 cl bottle @ ISKTR. Rated on 20.03.2011
Aroma has coffee, some licorice and vanilla. Flavour has some well roasted malt, coffee, licorice and hints of vanilla. Could not locate the rum here – and actually this is rather light stuff for an 11% ABV beer.

Bottle 500ml. Pours black, with high brown head, featuring some lacing. Aroma is of coffee, roasted malt, sweetness, some spices. Taste is roasted malt, sugar, rhum, some bitterness. Sitcky mouthfeel. Well balanced, though maybe unorthodox.

Bottle 500 ml [2011]. Appearance: Beautiful beer. Pours pitch black with a medium brown head. Aroma: Coffee, roasted malt, sweet, rhum. Taste: Sweet, roasted malt, rhum with a bitter finish. Sticky mouthfell. Overall: Not bad. One of the most beautiful beer i’ve seen (appearance). A bit too sweet for an imperial stout. Don’t like the taste of rhum in a beer.

Treacle and liquorice nose, slightly oily body, treacle, coffee, salt liquorice, a hint of rum, a little red fruit, then a dry bitter coffee finish with touches of herby hops and salt liquorice.

Rating from note. Bottle. Aroma of sweet caramel and roasty malt. Dark beer, but with no real head. Taste of sweet caramel and maybe rasins as well. Maybe a bit to sweet, but great balance between sweetness and bitterness.

Bottle at a tasting at James’ place. Pours a deep brown to black with a thin beige to tan head. Cocoa and rum on the nose, chocolate. A touch almost metallic, but not metal flavors, just an odd thinness to in the body. Softly sweet, more cocoa powder and chocolate on the finish. Easy drinking.

Bottle shared at my house. Pours black with brown head. Nose/taste of vanilla, fudge brownies, cocoa, roast chocolate and mild spices. Taste is more of a burnt black malt with some lactose sweetness. Medium body.

Bortle @ Monk’s. Dark brown/black colour with some head. Burned chocolate alcohol aroma. At least like to think that there is some rum flavour among the stronger chocolate and alcohol ones.
