English: We have brewed on this beer on a long time and we finally think it is a should. A very majestic stout with a hint of roasted barley malt, smoke malt, coffee, some spices and to top it all a drop of rum. The beer has been seasoned on oak wood. This beer can stored many years in a dark closet or cellar, but is also ready to drink when it leaves our brewery. Buy an extra bottle and stash it for a special occasion in some years. It will develop like a god wine- only get better and better by the years.

Rating #331, sample from Copenhagen Beer Festival 2010

Appearance is black with redbrown "edges", beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, coffee, caramel and smoke - no traces of rum yet, but quite pleasant stout-aroma. Taste is likewise roasted malts, coffee, caramel and smoke, but the finish reveals some sweetness coming from berries or raisins: This must be the rum. Actually a good brew, and a nice "bastard" beer. Body was expected to be thicker when having the ABV in mind, else the beer is soft, creamy and a bit oily.

Tab @ CBF. Opaque black with a frothy light brown head. Aroma has coffee, roast, smoke, dark berries, some sweetness. Taste has coffee, rum, booze, a little oak, dark chocolate, very subtle indeed - easily drinkable. Medium body, soft carbonation, medium to long duration. A nice beer.

Bottle@home Apperance: Black as motoroil with a creamy brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, Rum, Coffee, Caramel. Flavor: Rum, Dark chocolate, Grain, Dark caramel, Mild coffee. Palate: Very little carbonation. Liquid is smooth and filling without being thick. First taste is somewhat coffeebitterish but it ends sweet with a hint of rum. Lovely. This was a very pleasant stout. Just the way i like it with a balanced sweetness from the rum. A beer to sip on for an hour or two.

Tasted 2010-03-18. I prolly shouldn’t have had this one right after Beer Here’s Mørk Pumperbickel Porter, ’cause that may have influenced my buds. Either this one is excactly like Beer Here’s Beer (which wouldn’t be a shame), or it’s pretty damn close. Either way it’s very drinkable. It’s way higher on ABV than Pumpernickel, which puts it somewhat below it IMO.

Bottle provided to me by my Secret Santa (only one more to go) and shared with Shawn and buddies.

Nearly opaque with a purple highlight topped by a small but lasting beige frothy head. The aroma has notes of Rum cake, chocolate, espresso, fig, roasted and charred malts, methinks some oatmeal too. A bit grassy and herbal hops found out and about along with a light dusty yeast ester.

Twangy fruits, rummy molasses, and charred malts greets you upfront, nice use of the rum flavor that is done just right and not overpowering. Light subdued bitterness from hops and coffee undertones. Some light vanilla and tobacco notes too., quite YUMMY! The mouth feel is lush and oily while still maintaining an aggressive character, very warming upon the finish. Mikey Likey, I which I had opened this months ago but worth the wait, a surprisingly good brew (unlike the Avery Black Tot before it)

On tap. Black with brown head; aroma of smoke, rum, tar and wood; quite full-bodied, smooth texture; flavor of rum, wood, tar and tobaggo. I still don´t know whether I like this or not, haha, but at least it was interesting. (Edit about ten minutes later) Okay, I made my decision and it´s yes, I like it.

courtesy of Antonio Ruiz - pours a dark black colour under a solid and persistent dark beige foam; nice lacework; roasted chocolatey nose with notes of potatoes, full-bodied and creamy mouthfeel, sweet and thick, low bitterness, long roasted coffeish finish with notes of rum - a strange but interesting mixture
