English: We have brewed on this beer on a long time and we finally think it is a should. A very majestic stout with a hint of roasted barley malt, smoke malt, coffee, some spices and to top it all a drop of rum. The beer has been seasoned on oak wood. This beer can stored many years in a dark closet or cellar, but is also ready to drink when it leaves our brewery. Buy an extra bottle and stash it for a special occasion in some years. It will develop like a god wine- only get better and better by the years.

500ml nottle @ home. Best before: 09-02-3023.
App: Pitch black, thick brown but slight fizzy head, some thin lacings.
Aroma: Slightly hot aroma with dark chocolate, raisins and dark fruit, rum, burnt wood, pipe tobacco. Intense, mature and a little hot but alluring.
Taste: Sweet with chocolate, licorice, molasses, rum, some dark fruit and grapefruit, big marked herby bitterness.
Palate: Big body with soft round carbonation and oily thick texture.
Overall: Really good stout with big musty flavors with good depth. Slightly warming and pretty bitter and sweet, and even if it could do with some aging it’s still pretty good after only a year.

Keg at Craft Beer Co, Islington. Pours jet black with thin tan head. Big rum aromas, boozy and brown sugar. Taste has alcohol burn, some light roast, but not much. All about the rum. Quite thin texture. Ok.

Keg at Cask P&K. Black, foamy light brown head and lacing. Smell is mainly ash, bad breath, coffee. Body is medium, a touch of carbonation at the tip of the tongue, slightly foamy. Taste - hoppy citrus, grape juice, lime, bitter herbs, ash. Chocolately malts take a backseat to the hops. Not getting much rum really. Finishes astringent and dry. Good.

500 ml bottle. Pours black with huge creamy brown head. Aromas of vanilla, rich dark chocolate, cafe au lait, and heavily roasted malts. Flavors of hazelnut chocolate, black coffee, vanilla, and heavily roasted malts. Somewhat oily. Alcohol is well hidden. Deadly. Wonderful stuff. Need to cellar a couple.

Cola black beer with a dark beige head. Lots of sweetness and dried dark fruits on the nose. Medium to full body. Dark, roasted coffee. Sweetness. A little bit of sherry notes. A like this kind of style - a "baltic" porter.

Bottle from Kihoskh, Copenhagen (BB June 2023). Head is initially small, frothy, brown, mostly lasting. Body is opaque black (flashlight tested). Aroma is moderately malty (chocolate, caramel, roasted grain), with notes of vanilla, alcohol. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Full body, syrupy/velvety texture, lively carbonation, heavily alcoholic. Too boozy and sweet, and not enough finishing bitterness to make it very drinkable, but it’s not bad. Aromatically fairly simple, but pleasant and clean.
