500ml bottle from Vinmonopolet. Solid black body, light brown big and long lasting head. Aroma of coffee, cocoa and liquorice. Intense taste. A bit bitter.

Kaatuu lasiin sysimustana, vaahto on maitosuklaan värinen ja niukahko jääden oluen pinnalle. Haju on alkoholisen turpeinen ja palaneen maltainen. Salmiakki ja suklaa kummittelee taustalta, vaikka jääkin turpeisuuden ja multaisuuden alle. Toisaalta hajusta pitää ja toisaalta taas ei. Maku on makean maltainen, turpeinen, paahteinen, jopa hedelmäinen ja lehtipuinen. Alkoholi tulee jälkimaussa mukaan. Suutuntuma on katkera, lämmittävä ja hieman alkoholinen. Kokonaisuutena tämä on hieman turhan palanut omaan makuun, mutta ei kuitenkaan niin palanut kuin haju antoi odottaa. Kunnon lämmittäjä.

Pitch black colour with tiny tan head.
Roasted malt, sweetness, wine, mild bitterness and toffee in aroma.
Flavour is roasted malt, brown sugary sweetness, whiskey-like sweetness, some bitterness, vanilla, wood, wine and some warming alcohol.
Rich and tasty brew. Alcohol rather well hidden.

Flaske 0,5l fra Vinmonopolet, Tromsø Sentrum. Beksvart. Høyt mokkafarget skum som varer lenge og etterlate filigranser. God sjokoladearoma med et litt søtlig preg. Oljeaktig konsistens. Silkemyk munnfølelse. Smaken velbalansert. Litt søt frukt med en antydning til rom i bakgrunnen. Blir litt syrlig etter hvert. Alkoholen er farlig godt gjemt.

Semi-sweet, full bodied, mid to high bitterness, balanced CO2.
Very complex, rich taste, coffee beans, chocolate, cocoa, rum, wood (?), vanilla. The high ABV burns a bit in the finish, but otherwise very well balanced. (2009-08-18)

Pours a completly black colour with a tan head. Aroma of oak, rum and maybe som vanilla. Flavour is much like the aroma, it also brings some roasted malts, dark fruits and coffee. Really good balanced. Fantastic beer

Long lasting brown head. Almost totaly black color. Nice aroma of dark chocolate and some coffey. Coffey taste and small to medium bitterness. Big residual sweetness and in the finnish a fine bitterness.

Pump @ harvest. It pours dark with a great beige head on top. Liquorice, cocoa, coffee and vanilla flavors. Very sweet but well balanced. A great stout!

Bottle at konttori, tampere. Black color with nice light brown head. Aroma of licorice, chocolate, coffee, alcohol. Taste of coffee, chocolate, rum. Little hint of alcohol. Nice strong stout.

0.5l bottle. Yupp, this is a black one, and it has an impressive looking big espresso-chocolate brown head. Lovely aroma with chocolate, burned woodwork, stingy hops, sweet fresh baked brownies, heavy roasted malts and sweet chocolate cake. There is also traces of vanilla and cocoa. Quite deep, complex and really nice. It’s somewhat on the sweet side this, but the roasted burned flavor compensate nicely. Small prickling carbonation level with a thick oily mouthfeel. Deep dark flavors here. I get bitter chocolate, woody rum, a strong sweetness with a herbal twitch. Also some thick sweet fudgey flavor in between here. Ends with a long dry and burned finish. Lots of things going on in this. A nice sipper that works great as a last-of-the-evening-beer. 17.11.2012
