COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

50 cl bottle @ home. Pours amber with an off-white head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma is caramel, grapefruit, pine, and citrus. Flavour is citrus, caramel, and pine – with an ever so slightly bitter finish.

Copenhagen 25/7 2015. 50 cl bottle. Gift from my in-laws. Beautiful label with the greedy banker taking all the dough. A fitting illustration for a beer celebrating the Financial sector after the financial crisis. Pours hazy amber with an off-white head. Settles as 1 cm thick layer of foam with a little lacing. Aroma of sweet slightly fermented fruit, citrus and a little spicyness. Soft carbonation. Taste is fruity as well - but not very sweet. Good hoppy bitterness - especially in the aftertaste. Dry finish. You kinda wish that Hornbeer gets pissed off with a bank again soon.

Finish has quite strong carbonation. Aftertaste has pine, resin, grapefruit, toffee and some mint. A decent semi-dark IPA.

Bottle, served in teku. Pours dark orange and copper with thick, white head and good retention. Somewhat hazy, but not too much. Aroma consists mostly of piney hops, some caramel, sweet maltiness and fruitness. Quite well-balanced. Very distinct bitterness and hoppiness in taste, it buries other flavours pretty much. However, there is some maltiness and caramel and a beer is quite dry. Bitterness is very refreshing. Its not alcoholic, but a little warming after a few sips. Very good beer overall.
