COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

On tap at Lord Nelson, Copenhagen. Pours hazy amber with a small white head. Aroma is strong resiny hops. Taste is a strong malty base, supported by good fruity hops.

Bottle, bought @ LIVA, Kolding.
Pours muddy, pale copper with a fine, creamy, off-white head. Nice piney and grapefruity hops nose with some mild caramel malts. Light nuts and berries. Medium carbonation, kinda watery palate. Flavour is mild, soft sweetness, light fruity hops. There is some mild bitterness in there, but it somehow just feels a tad too dull.

20-NOV-2010, bottle @Ekstra Bladets Juleølssmagning. Cloudy light brown, low head. Very nice IPA nose with hoppy bitterness. Some malt backs up the hops, but the brew turns very thin and watery in the end:-( Apart from that I quite like Hornbeer IPA’s.

500ml bottle, shared with Skinnyviking. Dark, apricot body. Frothy and bubbly, beige head. Fragile lacing on the glassware. Hoppy, sappy oranges to the nose. Fruity taste profile that finished with a mild, dry hopped touch. Thin to medium bodied. Not quite my kind of juleøl, except for the label design (hotel room, Copenhagen, 07.11.2010).

On tap. Hazy amber golden with an off-white head leaving some lacework. The nose has some fresh citrusy hops but unfortunately also quite some diacetyl. Medium body, sweet fruit, good citrusy hops leaving a fairly distinct bitterness. If not for the buttery nose this would’ve been a fairly decent - albeit sweet - IPA. 091110

Draught at Lorden.  Clear yellow/golden - white head.  Toasted. Fruity. Tea. Herbal. Light bitter hoppy. Medium malty. Sweetness. A bit boring. Not that hoppy.

50 cl bottle, pours dark with a minor head, aroma of pine, caramel, chocolate and yeast, taste is caramel, pine, malt and slight diacetyl, not very bitter at all, fairly weak finish, enjoyable but somewhat disappointing nontheless,

Flöska. Hazy deep amber colour with a nice big beige creamish lively head. Very hoppy sweet fruity citrus pine, bit spruce, malty aroma. Good mouthfeel, but bit thin. The flavour is not as bitter as I thought after sniffing to this brew: soft sweet hoppy fruity pine flavour with grapefruit, caramel and toasty malt. Bit waterish finish but with pleasantly soft bitter fruity hoppiness.
