3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a very dark, translucent, brownish orange with a large, thick, off-white head. Aroma straight off the bottle is strongly of hops; pine and grapefruit, somewhat vegetably strong as well. From the pint it is still strongly hoppy, naturally: Pine and grapefruit, somewhat pithy, some caramel. Taste begins piney and pithy, some nuts, strongly caramel in the finish. Aftertaste is pithy and piney, grapefruity. Palate is stingy and carbonated. Very nice this one though with the few proper IPAs available in bottle here in Finland, I might just be happy with this because of the lack of selection.
On a final note, could do with a bit more fruitiness and/or refreshingness in the flavor: Had it with a green salad that made it just that much better.
