COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Danish: Til humlevennerne.

Bottle from systembolaget. Pours an amber or dark reddish colour with a big white head. Smell of flowers, citrus and hops. Taste is interesting with a complex mix of smooth and sharp flavours. Ends with a smokey almost bitter finish. Worth a try.

Keg at Craft Beer Co Cov G, 23/05/14. Hazed orange amber with a moderately appointed light beige covering that retains. Nose is caramel malt, bitter orange, grapefruit, a little 1D but pleasant enough. Taste is caramel malt forward, bitter grapefruit, pine, mango. Full bodied, fine carbonation, slightly sticky close with sweet licks and semi aggressive hop bitterness. Decent enough DIPA if not top draw.

hackobock (2759) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 24, 2014
Bottle. Hazy light amber with a large off-white head. Aroma has fruity candy notes up front but they are quickly eplaced by caramel, resin, pine, citrus, light booze. Taste is sweet caramel, resin, grassy bitter. Finish is grassy bitter with a light boozy touch. Medium bodied. More of an American barley wine than a DIPA.

500ml brown bottle, with artwork of a happy viking. Pours clear dark amber with a medium sized beige head, that reduced quickly leaving some lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, pine and caramel. Flavours of grapefruit, orange peels, honey, caramel and spices. Taste is light-medium sweet and medium bitter. Palate is medium bodied, slightly sticky texture and average carbonation. Overall a good Imperial IPA on the sweeter maltier side.

czar (6511) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 9, 2014
pours cloudy almost dirty golden orange with a small and reviving off-white head, some lacing. sweet doughy fruity maltiness - peaches, apricots, chewy caramel and barley sugar, booze - fairly warming, floral pine and resin, grassy. moderate carbonation, medium to full body - oily and sticky, slightly harsh grassy-peppery-spicy-piney finish. not quite unbalanced - lots of sugars with an assertive if not abusive hopping. should the brew had been a hoppy belgian triple, i would sort of dig it, but a more-than-an-imperial-ipa sort of rules it out automatically. plain sugary. piney.
