COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle. Poured a cloudy dark amber with a light tan head. Aroma was full of floral, citrus and fruity hops with a bit of pine underlying. The flavor brought out the pine notes much more with some spice and citrus as undertones.

Dark orange colored with hazy appearance. Lots of particles. Medium sized yellow head. Rich grassy-flowery aroma with thin peach also present, bitter aroma. Medium bodied, soapy palate. Flavor is more soapy with hops and flowers dominating, aftertaste dries strongly with peach still.

50 cl bottle at hotel room in Copenhagen, June 2009. Amber color, fine beige head. Aroma is very hoppy, as expected, also fruit and malty sweetness. Flavor is hoppy, fruity, sweet and malty. Fine bitterness in the finish. Very fine IIPA.

Bottled. Dark amber coloured. Unclear. Light brown dense lasting head. Sweetness, fruits, caramel, light pine and light spice in the aroma. Flavour of pine, citrus, flower, light caramel, light soap and sweetness. Medium to full bodied. Dry. Nicely bitter in the end. Had expected a tad more for a IIPA, but it’s still a very drinkable beer.

UPDATED: NOV 22, 2012 (Re-rate, draught at Pikkulintu, 20121122) The beer poured brown and quite clear. Its head was medium sized, long lasting and almost white. Aroma had fruitiness, tangerine and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, tangerine, grapefruit, malts, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, sweet and bitter. Way better than the bottle I had. The taste was still messy.

(Bottle at Pikkulintu, Helsinki, on 2009-07-03) Reddish brown and cloudy with floating bits all over the beer. Very large, long lasting and lightly dirty brown coloured head. Strongly hops and pine in aroma. Medium bodied and dry palate with with little carbonation. Malts, hops, yeast, some bitterness, lightly sweetness, pine and metallicness in tastee. Malty aftertaste. Old rating: 8-2-6-3-10=2.9

The big bad woolf hunting the three little piggies...well ..maybe I just dont get it... The pour is...shiit this one is carbonated...it keeps coming out..damn.. its in my zink now. Be sure to have a couple of glasses ready..this bastard wants to get out. Free willy go home. Well back to the appearence. It is dark amber with a light brownish-orange head. The body is moisty with yeast(?) leftovers swimming around. The nose is nice and full of hops together with caramel and some citrus and pine cones. Some dryhopping has been done. The taste is a little pale and not as agressive as the aroma. There is a bitterness and a fruity and hoppy finish. The palate is really good and creamy - very suitable for the beer.

A 0.5L bottle tasted at Pikkulintu 10.6.09. Expressolike creamy beige head. Mild nose of hops. Hazy dark brown coppery colour. Slight hints of strawberry in the taste. Sweet and soft grassy taste.

Served from a bottle at CBF 09. Fragile bubbles on the surface of a golden-copper body. Solid amount of hops in aroma and taste. Pine needles and citrus shells. Spices and semi-sweet, caramel malts. And a lingering dry bitter aftertaste with tingling alcohol on the tongue. Fits the style and almost perfect for my palate (16.05.2009).

0.5 l bottle at hanniku’s tasting, thanks Timo A! Jumped violently out of the bottle and rinsed out Hannu’s kitchen again. Hazy brown-amber color with big head. Sweetish perfumed hoppy aroma with lemon, dank, toffee, caramel and berryish marmelade. Dryish yeasty-bitter flavor with toffee, caramel, licorice, fruity hops and berries. Full bodied yeasty palate. Would be better with less yeast, body, caramel and toffee to make room for the hops.
