COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottled. Dark golden coloured. Unclear. Dense light brown head. Sweetness, light pine, citrus and flowers in the aroma. Flavour of chocolate, light flowers, light citrus and some vague pine. Quite balanced, but a bit on the light side. Medium to full bodied. Dry. Nice fruity bitterness in the end. Quite easy to drink, and definately a beer which could easily be served for your macro beer friends, as flavour are a bit subdued without being non existent.

Bov (8268) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - DEC 28, 2010
from erzbierschof.ch - cloudy dark reddish-amber beer with a little persistent beige foam; solid hoppy aroma of quince marmalade; medium to full-bodied and fairly astringent, gently oily and sticky; a robust bitterness and a long fruity hoppy and slightly herbal finish

Draught (Pikkulintu, Helsinki)
Odd aroma - took a lot of swirling to pull any beeriness out of it - just simple pungent hops and sweet malt. Taste gains simple elastoplast phenols too. Crisp carbonation. Sticky sweet malts, but yet fairly watery. Tasty to the bottom, but not exciting or refreshing.

Hazy dark orange with a huge off-white head. Aroma is caramel, yeasty and rather hoppy - grapefruit and peach. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and bitter finish. A good beer but far from Hornbeers best. 100311

Leighton (7179) - London, ENGLAND - FEB 21, 2012
Bottle at Delirium Hoppy Loft, Brussels, with James and Paul. Pours amber with a big, foamy head. Some leafy hops in the nose, with light caramel and pine. Medium sweet flavor, some gingerbread, caramel and dry leaves. Medium to big in body with lively carbonation. Dry finish with lots of leafy bitterness, some graham crackers and caramel. Pretty meh. A bit dusty. I have to wonder about the freshness of this bottle.

MartinT (6934) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 10, 2012
My Bottom Line:
Peaches and oranges lead to bitter resins, as lightly caramelized malts and big bubbles serve the greater hop purpose.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A fluffy head of foam tops the hazy amber glow.
-Hops are also wooden and spicy in the nose.
-Malts could be toastier to match the prevalent hoppiness.
-The body is relatively lean and thus quite drinkable.
-Hop contributions are levelled from aroma to finish.
-This may not reinvent the Wheel, but it sure is an efficient hop vehicle.

Bottle.
