COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Tap @ Aarhus, 2008.
Pours deep brownish amber with a nice, frothy, ligghtly creamy, off-white head. Aroma is nicely hoppy, and with very powerful caramel. Grapefruit and citrus dominate. Fine, creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is light caramel-sweet (a bit too much perhaps?), pleasant hops, god dryness and a nice frutiy bitter finish. It is an okay IPA.

Bottle. Large creamy off-white head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Lovely dark amber color. Aroma of pine, grapefruit, perfume. Peach and apricot. Underlying caramel, fruit and toasted malty notes. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and dry texture. Moderated bitter and sweet flavor in balance. Hoppy bitter dry finish. Nice IPA and very drinkable.

Borresteijn (4679) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - NOV 10, 2010
50cl Bottle at The Good, The Bad & The Ugly tasting. Hazy dark amber colour, off white head. Aroma is sweet, fruity, light floral, citrus, grapefruit. Flavour is sweet, grapefruit, liquorice root, caramel, earthy bitter finish with lingering liquorice root. Light to medium bodied, a bit too thin at times to be really great. Nice nevertheless.

Hazy dark orange with a huge off-white head. Aroma is caramel, yeasty and rather hoppy - grapefruit and peach. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and bitter finish. A good beer but far from Hornbeers best. 100311

0,5 bottle from SPAR supermarket, Sæby nearby the brewery. Orange-brown hazy colour - quite dark for a IPA. Off-white, lasting head. Lively carbonation that quickly fades. Lots of chocolate malts and citrusy hops in the aroma. The taste is a mixture between the malts (chocolate) and the hops (citrus, grapefruit). Medium body, bitter finish dominated by the hops. A nice beer.
