Great with "rakfisk" - fermented trout. It has enough bitterness to come through this strong fishy taste - and it is not sweet, but still with a good body.

3.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Smells really good, does not taste like much but okay. The aftertaste is weak and disappears rather quickly. When I saw that it got good reviews so I thought it would be much better. But oh so wrong. But we are all different. Perfectly okay beer anyway. I think. Poor with a taste for an IPA.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Slightly hazy amber color. Diminishing beige head with lacing. Aroma of fruity hops, pine, mandarine and strawberry but has also notes of barnyard. Quite thin body. Oily texture. Salty taste and bitter finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours hazy, reddish amber with a little white head. A thin layer stays on the surface. Aroma has lots of pine with resin and fruity, citric notes, also some maltiness. Taste is crisp and bitter; flavours of citrus, grapefruit, pine, some light sweet maltiness. Palate is nicely smooth, medium bodied and a little sticky. A different Christmas beer and a pretty nice IPA that’s somewhat lighter than some.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A fine IPA - not christmas beer at all. I didn’t like the descripiton - a strange way to present a christmas beer. But nice citrus aroma, and in general ok. Maybe to "kind", the bitterness isn’t sharp enough.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle (50cl) from Vinmonopolet (Oslo). Hazy amber colour. Finger-thick offwhite head, settles as a bubbly film with some lacing. Very hoppy aroma with grapefruit and orange peel, and some caramel and yeast. Medium body, soft carbonation. Taste is predominantly dry and bitter with a juicy-sweet backdrop. Appears overall well-balanced and quite refreshing. Lacks the xmas factor, but that’s maybe the point?
