4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 AshtonMcCobb (1490) - Edinburgh, - DEC 2, 201250cl bottle thanks to Nikolai. Pours opaque black with a nice crema head. The nose has a hint of charcoal, maybe some marmalade on a background of chocolate. The taste has a real chocolate liqueur thing with a prunes in alcohol, maybe orange liqueur encased in chocolate. Cherries, too! The palate is full bodied with a big smooth texture and a long elegant finish.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 fantti (464) - FINLAND - JAN 15, 2013
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Palme (2311) - Bergen, NORWAY - JAN 15, 2013
On tap @ Henrik. This is a deep dark brown one - some redness shining through when holding it against the light and it a small sidesticking beige tip. Nice spicy non-extreme aroma with mint and star anise, Christmas decoration and some cocoa. Nice stuff. It has a silky smooth mouthfeel this with a small prickling carbonation level. I have to say impressive. So, the taste has more mint and star anise. Cocoa nibs with dark sweet caramel and candied sugar. Quite tasty this. No traces of the ABV. Chocolate paper traces in the lightly mouthdrying finish. Enjoyable. 08.12.2012

Cherry flavor of taste and smell is pretty strong. The aftertaste is the same. But I do not really know if I like or dislike this beer. This is very difficult to rate.

Dark caramel brown with almost no head. Muscovado sugar, raisins and caramel on the nose. Taste is sweet with dark fruits, molasses, figs and à hint of juniper. Really very delightfully surprised by this one!
