COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

bottle, thanks to bu11zeye, dark brown pour with nice aroma and flavors of fruitcake, spices and herbs, softer use of these made for a nice beer

On tap @ Henrik. This is a deep dark brown one - some redness shining through when holding it against the light and it a small sidesticking beige tip. Nice spicy non-extreme aroma with mint and star anise, Christmas decoration and some cocoa. Nice stuff. It has a silky smooth mouthfeel this with a small prickling carbonation level. I have to say impressive. So, the taste has more mint and star anise. Cocoa nibs with dark sweet caramel and candied sugar. Quite tasty this. No traces of the ABV. Chocolate paper traces in the lightly mouthdrying finish. Enjoyable. 08.12.2012

Cherry flavor of taste and smell is pretty strong. The aftertaste is the same. But I do not really know if I like or dislike this beer. This is very difficult to rate.

Dark caramel brown with almost no head. Muscovado sugar, raisins and caramel on the nose. Taste is sweet with dark fruits, molasses, figs and à hint of juniper. Really very delightfully surprised by this one! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma: Smelling of salmiak cough drops, dates and figs, pine resin and some ashes.
Appearance: A hazy chestnut colored beer. A low tan head with small lacing and good curtains.
Taste: Tasting sweet bread, bitter oranges, sweet dried black fruits and licorice.
Palate: Medium carbonation, a sticky texture. A big body with a not dry finish.
Overall: A sweet potent brew, very licorice.
Note: Bottle 500 ml. (Vintage 2011) Reviewed 2012-12-28.
