COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a cloudy opaque murky orangey brown with a beige head. Heavy smoky aroma with quite some caramel underneath. Rich body, carbonation is a little low, soft mouthfeel - a little tired on the palate - heavy sugary and again quite some smoke. Bitter finish. If you’re fond of smoked beers this is not a bad offering. 100512

Draught at Ørsted, Copenhagen
Muddy amber-brown color with creamy head. The aroma is strong, sweet, with pond water and smoke; the sweet and smoke are appreciated, the dirty water eliminates elegance. Heavy body, but the mouthfeel is not too affected; definitively sweet and smokey, luckily there is a bold bitterness to balance the malt; instead the result is very chaotic; the final is very smoked too, with a wood character.
It reminds me of a smoked Barley Wine, like the Ungstrup’s Reserve, but more bitter.
An inelegant soup, drinkable because I like the ingredients, but very messy.
