Bottle at No5. Visit by Hornbeer. Black. Aroma heavy malty (caramel, smoke, coffee, chocolate), light hoppy. Flavor heavy sweet, light bitter. Full body. Very fine.

Bottled at EBF08. Black with a small, beige head. Vanilla and milky chocolate in the aroma. A bit too sweet flavour. Soft and smooth palate. Milky chocolate and slightly salty flavour.

100ml from a bottle at EBF 08. Very cool label art. Pours a body dark as pitch, with a brownish top. Roasted smell of dark chocolate. Mixed flavour of anise, coffee and cocoa. Very smooth and rather dry in the mouth. Noticeable alcohol. Another pleasant Danish stout! (Copenhagen, 14.09.2008).

0.5 l bottle.Black color with small head. Strong coffee aroma with also charcoal, licorice, tobacco and hints of soil. Coffee, charcoal, licorice and firm bitterness in the flavor. Long dryish licorice finish. Fairly tasty but licorice and coffee flavors are somewhat overpowering.

[EBF @ Copenhagen, September 2008] Average brown creamy head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Pitch black color. Aroma of strong roasted malt, chocolate, hint of smoke, liquorish, mild coffee and alcohol. Medium to almost full bodied with an average carbonation and somewhat thick alcoholic texture. Moderated to heavy bitter flavor with good counter sweetness. Lingering dry and bitter finish.
