Bottle, at Ølfestival 2011. A minimal-sized off-white head sits on top of an unclear, golden-orange body. It’s lighlty smoked on the nose, with sugary malts and citrus-fruity hops. Citrus, pine cones, some smoke, sweetness and a touch of roasted malts in the mouth. Even though it feels sweetish in the flavor, it’s quite dry. Medium body. Roasted and bitter finish. Not much of a Dubbel in my book, but drinkable anyway. 110528

Pours hazy orange with a big, creamy, off-white head. Sweet aroma, soft peity smoke, light caramel, a bit of yeast and Belgian sugar. Medium carbonation, fine light creamy mouthfeel. Quite dry. Flavour is malty, softly sweet, smoke, peity, mild Belgian sugar. Pleasant smoky dryness. Okay.

Bottle at KØ-2011. Deep golden- orange colour with an off-white head. aroma is smoked, hop, malt, caramel. Flavour is dry,smoked, hop, malt, caramel, belgian yeast. Nice beer.

Bottle. Pours an amber color with a small off-whit ehead. Has a fruity malty weak smoky aroma with hints of caramel. Fruity sweetish malty yeasty light smoky caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty smoky caramel finish.

DØE Festival, Valby, DK. Tap, 270511. Brown with beige head. Aroma of dried fruit and smoke. Flavor with yeast, malt and smoke.

Amber colour. Smokish malty and fruitish like aroma. Flavour has a fair smokiness with toasty malt, some fruit, caramel.

Smber with a small white head. Aroma of caramel with a hint of dried fruit and a faint touch of diacetyl. Sweet and somewhat smoked flavour with a slightly hoppy bitter finish

Pours amber with a beige head. Aroma is caramel, light smoke, fruit and flower. Flavour is caramel, smoke, fruit and flower.

Sampled at Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011. Pours an unclear and amber beer with a weak offwhite head. The aroma is malt, caramel, flowers and some fruit. The flavor follows the nose with additional smoke. The palate is dry with sweetness. Overall a good beer.

Bottled at Københavnske Øldage 2011. Cloudy pale amber, small head. Mild buttery smoky nose. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Almondy yeast and caramelly lightly smoky malt. I was expecting this to be a train wreck of a beer, but it’s certainy not.
