2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 fiulijn (12179) - Malmö, DENMARK - MAR 2, 2013
Courtesy of Erik & Gitta; bb 20.01.2014 Hazy blond color with creamy head. The aroma shows some green hazelnuts, grass, glue, yeast. Cereals flavor, but the too high carbonation spoils it a bit, as well for the too high bitterness. Surely unfresh, no more pleasant.

Bottle from Vika. Clear golden color, no head to speak of. Grainy aroma, sour hop stench. Taste is also pretty sour, with sweet malt, and a sticky sweet finish, aftertaste of vegetables. What went wrong Hornbeer, your beers are usually awesome?

500 ml bottle. Lovely white head, tasty aswell. Not too much aroma, common for pilsners and lagers. Quite bitter, but well balanced. Refreshing and good in general.

Golden with a slightly haze abd a large creamy head. Slight pungent aroma with loads of saaz floralness. Light and mellow bitterness , rather balanced but maybe a little bit on the bitter side. Light body and well carbonated.

0.5l bottle. This is a light cloudy almost honey-colored beer. It has a medium sized slowly fading and lacing bubbly off-white head. It smells light candy-sweet and a bit watery. Floral honey tones, and I get hints of cereal-box. Nice enough aroma. In the flavor at first it has a nice hoppy bitterness, but the bitterness evolves in the mouth and becomes quite pungent and in the end, almost metallic. It’s average to soft carbonated and it has a mild oily texture. I guess there is a mild both berry sweetness and berry sourness in this one as well. Leaving my mouth somewhat dry. Drinkable and all that, but for me a bit wrong- and almost overhopped, thus not making this a favorite in my book. 05.06.2012
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 tfredvik (630) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 15, 2012
A hazy and very fizzy looking golden to yellow body with a huge, creamy and rocky white head that is very long-lived and laces the glass excellently. A moderate aroma with sweet notes of citrus, fruits, malt, dust, yeast and faint flowers. Moderate to light sweet taste, although the beer feels rather crisp and dry, the finish is particularly dry. A quite sharp grassy moderate bitter finish. Flavours are fruity and spicy, I get a fun touch of anise. The yeasty notes actually feels a bit belgian. Light to medium body with a lively carbonation. Doesn’t remind me that much of a pilsener, but who cares as long as it’s a tasty brew!

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Cunningham (2972) - Halden, NORWAY - AUG 3, 2012
Golden and light hazy colour with a white head. A bit sweet malty and light fruity aroma. A bit to sweet for my likings. Malty and fruity with a smal citric note. [On tap at Schouskjelleren in Oslo, Norway]
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 visionthing (1626) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUL 12, 2012
50cl bottle from Vinmonopolet, Vika. Pours hazy deep golden with a white head. Fruity aroma with sweet malt and hints of herbs and citrus. Sweet, malty and lightly fruity with a hint of caramel. Slightly bitter finish with just a hint of citrus in the aftertaste. Decent beer, but I would choose a fresh tankova in Prague over this anytime. Goes down easy and the bitterness is quite nice, but it’s still not a favourite.
