Men døm selv.
Brygget med kaffe malt, chocolate malt, black malt og honning, tørhumlet og lagret med egetræ og valnød.

Riktigt kolsvart, tjock vätska. Mycket fruktig gräsig humle, men choklad- och kaffesmakerna dominerar. Lätt vinös, honung, valnötter, len mjuk nästan gräddig kropp, beskan måttlig, väldigt välbalanserad och riktigt god.

(Sample from 50 cl bottle at "Øllets Dag Amager 2011", served by the brewer himself) Pours pitch black with rich, toffee head that laces the glass heavily. Aroma a complex mix of toasted malt, nuts, licorice and alcohol. Oily on the palate, full-bodied, soft carbonation with a protracted, bittersweet finish. Taste is quite bitter with a subtle, dark sweetness. Very good indeed.

Bottle 50cl. A completly black beer with a brown head. An aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, alcohol, coffe and wood. The taste is sweet. A full body, creamy texture and average carbonation.

Bottled 500ml (Beer Hunters, BB 07/2021)
Dark opaque black color, small steady brown head. Chocolate, whiskey, caramel, coffee... dark intensive aroma. Medium to full-bodied. Sweet licorice, cocoa, black coffee in the flavor. Nicely balanced. Hides alcohol very well.

Pitch black, frothy and creamy head. Smoky malt nose, licorice, floral honey, fruit nectars and light peppery notes. Sweet, oily and heavy maltiness, loads of bready malts and dark syrup, a hint of charcoal, medicinal/ herbal/resiny hops and a touch of honey and dried fruits. Honeyish sweetness fits in perfectly. Finishes dark chocolatey with fruit nectars, a hint of vanilla and nuts. Full bodied and oily texture is like velvet. Lovely, delightful stout. Propably the best beer with honey in it that I’ ve had. If you have the sweet tooth, this is a beer to try!

Bottled from Systembolaget Pitch black with a small, brown head. Salty licorice and chocolate in the aroma. Vinous with a very salty bitterness. Licorice, coffee and tar along with some peaty notes.

Bottle. Oily pitch black with a big dense mocca brown head. Aroma is a bit spiky and vinous with licorice, dark fruit, coffee, nuts, vanilla and alcohol. Taste is burnt, sweet and rich with a salty ending. Espresso, dark chocolate, licorice, dark fruit, nuts, burnt wet wood and a pinch of vanilla. A slight alcohol heat, but otherwise very well hidden. Body is pretty good but the mouthfeel is still a bit light, and the carbonation is soft and a bit mushy in the beginning. A bit more vinous than I usually like my IS but still very tasty. I guess i just like Hornbeers touch. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Inte så stor, men lite spritig doft. Smaken är förtreffelig med en tjock vätska med tydliga, stora kaffetoner. Lite lakrits i eftersmaken som gör den söt och lång, Mums!

Bottle. Black with a medium tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, licorice and some notes of nuts and sugar. Taste of coffee, licorice, soy sauce and roasted malt. Nice full body on this one, a solid beer from Hornbeer.

(Bottle) Pours super black with a small, dark brown head. The aroma holds roast up front with notes of dark chocolate/cocoa, asphalt, liquorice/sal ammoniac, brown sugar, light espresso, honey, light smoke/sigarette ash and a dash of molasses. Also clear citric hop tones. Undertones of dark berries, meat, vanilla and wood. The nose is enjoyable but it doesn’t bring anything new to the table. The flavor is medium sweet, near medium bitter, light salty and light acidic. Tones of chocolate, cocoa, liquorice, smoked meat, asphalt, citric hops, honey, light fruits, black currant and brown sugar. Nice rostiness. The mouthfeel is round, soft and smooth with a light carbonation. Asphalt-like roast, liquorice and citrus lingers. Medium to full bodied. Good, but nothing new. Rally Danish in style.
