Men døm selv.
Brygget med kaffe malt, chocolate malt, black malt og honning, tørhumlet og lagret med egetræ og valnød.

Saeglopur (1117) - Vienna Woods, AUSTRIA - JUN 7, 2015
500 ml bottle from Ammersin 5 Vienna, shared at Bratislava Slovak-Austrian RB Tasting.
Dark brown, almost black body, with a medium, creamy, dark beige head.
Aroma of coffee, smoke, liquorice, cocoa.
Taste follows this, with some more dark fruits.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a soft carbonation.
Finishes roasty, dry, coffee, cocoa, liquorice.

Very nice, although I was hoping for a bit more. Very straight, not to say minimalistic. Well balanced, with great coffee, cocoa and some smoke notes. I’m just missing something.

Bottle. Aroma caramel, chocolate, coffee, roasted, all the dark goodness. Black colour, stable head. Taste is really strong, well attenuated, dry, all about the roasty malts. Alcohol hidden well. Dry, roasty, good.

bottle kindly shared by Saeglopur at Slovak Austrian RB Tasting, many thanks. black color, small coffee colored head. smell of spices, malty roastiness, light smoke. weirdly enough, tastes quite light for 11 ABV, I would put it down as medium body. soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes malty roasty, some spices, coffee, caramel, some smoke notes, dried fruits, light alcoholic / liqueurish. roasty / alcoholic / dried fruity finish. quite nice.

500 ml bottle from Bieropholie, served cold in a tulip glass. Deep brown black with a decent mocha head. Huge dark chocolate, black coffee, molasses bordering on licorice, dark, rich, inviting. Medium-full body with fairly full carbonation and a powdery feeling. Quite dark, big dark chocolate, black coffee, slightly nutty, a bit peppery and boozy, leafy, herbal, resinous hops, alcohol is nicely integrated; dry with fairly big bitterness and a long, mouth-coating dark malt finish. Fundamentally good.
