COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Men døm selv.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet. Pours pitch black with a big creamy tanned head. Aroma is inviting coffee, chocolate and liqourice. Taste is smooth, all the goodies present as promised in the aroma, lingering caramelly sweet, light roasted liquorice. Very good

500 ml bottle. A black body with a moderate sized brown head, looks great. Aroma has roasted malt, coffee, liquorices, fruity hops and alcohol. Flavor has sweet, dark malt, moderate roasted, coffee, some fruit and rather bitter with hints of alcohol. A nice full-bodied beer with a rich aftertaste of malt, fruit and bitterness. Might not be the most typical Black IPA I have tasted, but who really cares about styles. A solid and tasty one from Hornbeer, nice.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet Manglerud enjoyed at home
Pours jet black with a big creamy dark brown head. Super nice look. Smells of dark roasted malts, coffee, some hops and yeast. Taste is medium sweet, quite roasty, tons of dark malts and coffee. Almost too raw and heavy for me. Quite chewy texture, it’s like drinking oil or something. Heavy bitter, nice hops. I like this beer alot, but i think it’s a bit too brutal for me. Some balance is needed. Maybe a good canditade for cellaring? I don’t know...

Aroma: chocolate, coffee, bread, roasty. Appearance: Big brow cloudy head, pitch black colour. Taste: Sweet, really bitter, lot’s of coffee, chocolate, wood, intense, takes over your mouth. Palete: full body, thick feel, oily feel, long bitterness. I knew I bought a good beer, but this one surprised me and it deserve it’s name The Fundamental Blackhorn. If you want something in between a Dark Lord and a Oaked Yeti. I fell in love and will try to get more bottles for storing!

Bottle. Dark brown-black with thick moka head. Aroma is gourmet coffee and decadent chocolate cake. Taste is very rich, lots of chocolate and roasted malts along with a hoppy backbone which fell a little short to cover the huge amount of sweetness and alcohol. Rich and creamy palate. A good over-the-top imperial stout
