Aroma of roasted coffee beans, dark chocolate, licorice and dark caramel. Roasty finish with a nice coffee-like aftertaste. Bitter mouthfeel troughout. Much enjoyed!

Bottle at beertasting with Carsten Bertelsen 19 / 6 2013. Pitch black, medium tan head. Aroma, roasted malts, coffee, dry liquorice, some alcohol, chocolate, maybe some hops. Taste, roasted malts, liquorice, coffee, chocolate, bitter. Leaves a dry liquorice aftertaste. Awesome beer, best of the night.

Appearance: Black color with a fine thick beige head.
Aroma: Coffee, and mild chocolate.
Palate: Medium body. Slightly sweet and a moderate bitterness. Soft carbonation. Creamy texture.
Taste: Mild balanced dominating licorice, mild coffee and light roasted malt. Dangerously well hidden alcohol!
Overall impression: They promised a high IBU. I was sober and loved to try this one. Did hardly notice any high IBU. Anyway a nice evening sipper.

Tap at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell. Pours pitch black with a small light tan head which leaves great lacing. Nose shows heavy cocoa with molasses. Dark chocolate, light spice and vanilla, heavy molasses. Very smooth. Light bitterness on the back end of the palate. Good stuff

Sampler from tap at Haandøl 2013. Black body with a creamy fingerthick brown head. Roasted, earthy, dried dark fruits on the nose. Roasted raisins and sweet coffee in the mouth. Full bodied and a wee bit heavy carbonation. Syrupy texture.

Genomsvart öl med ett gräddigt brunt skum. Det doftar kafe, rostad malt och lätt vanilj. Samma kommer tillbaka i smaken tillsamman med trä och en nötig beska. En kraftfull och bra Imperial Stout.

50 cl bottle @ home. Pours black with a lot of sediment and a dark tan head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, and fruity hops. Flavour is roasted malt, chocolate, and hops – with a bitter finish.

Bottle, rated from backlog. Excellent aroma, coffee, burnt notes, liquorice and chocolate. Taste is roasted and sweet with the same flavors.

One of my favorite imperial stouts. A lot of different flavours(chocolate, oak, coffe, nuts, honey) in fantastic balance!
