Bottle. Clear dark amber with big off-white head. Aroma is malt, hops, peach, little caramel, little floral and a little citrus. Flavour is malt, caramel, fruit, medium sweet, pine, little peach and medium bitter.

Dark deep red hazy, massive tanned head, it just looks fantastic in my tulip. Smells of citrus, zests, some ripe fruits and some caramel malts. Taste is medium ++ sweet, quite on the malty side, nice dark fruity flavours and light citrus zests. Finish is almost heavy bitter, an explotion citrus hops and resins, some zests too. Medium to full body, oily feel, soft carbonation. A quite massive beer, a bit of style i think, and APA is often lighter. Still a super beer, malty with a solid hop bill to back it up.
And the brewery says the beer is "Gyldengul" (Light golden)...... hehehe

50cl bottle from Vinmonopolet. Pours amber with an off-white head. Fruity and hoppy aroma with malt, citrus and hints of pine, peach and caramel. Medium body. Malty and fruity with a nice bitterness. Nicely balanced with a dry and bitter finish.

500 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Vika, Oslo. ABV is 6.4%. Brown colour, large off-white head. Very nice hoppy aroma, distinct notes of spruce, also notes of grapefruit. The medium dry flavour has also notes of spruce / pine / resin, some fruit too, balanced by sufficient brown malts. Fairly bitter finish. Yes, this is actually a beer I can associate with a Nordic spring in the fir and pine tree forests.

Sampled from 0.5l bottle @ Beer Enthusiast release party. This one pours a deep hazy roasted-butter colored beer with a bubbly light caramel-colored head. It has a really present odor! Really grassy, lots of diacetyl-ish butterscotch and it’s fruity with ripe strawberries. It’s quite sweet and perhaps a bit off on the aroma. It tastes medium-hoppy with pine cones, cortex and some ripe summer berries. Leaving my mouth light dry with a fruity hoppy aftertaste. Not bad, but still not quite there. 23.04.2012

Bottle from Vinmonopolet, Vika. Pours unclear amber with a small white head. Aroma is sweet fruity and flowery. Taste is very crisp and fresh hoppy, some herbal and resiny notes as well. Ends dry

Bottle sample at Beer Enthusiast release tasting, Bergen. Has a dark amber colour, slightly cloudy, and has a light beige head. Smells of sweet fruit, peaches, sweet candy, a little hops and spices, and with a good malt character. In addition, I sence diacetyl/butter tones, but this does not detract the beer, and is not present in the flavor. The fruity flavour is marked by dried fruit, leather, and spices. Have a nice medium bitterness, and the mouth feel is slick and sliky. A decent APA.

Bottle sample @ Beer Enthusiast Release Tasting, Bergen. Slightly dark amber, small off-white head. Nose is grassy hops, melon and hints of diacetyl-ish butter and alcohol. Meh. Taste is grass and hints of melon on a caramel backdrop. Some more diacetyl and resin in the aftertaste, which kinda spoils a bit of the fun. Mediocre.

Bottle. Pours dark muddy brown with off white head. Nose/taste of earthy grains, grapefruit, sweet and caramel malt, sugar cubes and resinous pine. Medium body.
