UPDATED: MAR 8, 2014 Keg at Craft, Brighton, Friday 7th March 2014 This is realky rather weird. Aroma is hugely floral with smokey liquorice, Loz says burnt liquorice. This could be one of the pipe tobaccos that your great Uncle smoked back in the 70’s. Taste is equally strange a bit too off the wall with floral thing, burnt liquorice and a slight chilli hit. Its ok A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

UPDATED: MAR 10, 2014 500ml bottle, poured into a snifter glass. Appearance is opaque brownish black with a medium sized thick creamy mocha head, with good retention that left some lacing when reduced. Aroma of chocolate, liquorice and roasted malts. Flavours of chocolate, liquorice, muscovado, roasted malts, vanilla and chili. Taste is light-medium sweet and medium bitter. Palate is full bodied, creamy texture and soft carbonation. A delicious creamy Imperial Stout, with a lot of chocolate flavour and a pleasant mild chili spiciness.

Draught @ Animal Bar. Pours pitch black with a beautiful brown head. Moderate to heavy chocolate, cacao aroma, also some chili. Flavor has chocolate and cacao notes, light roasted malt, light to moderate bitter. Hot chilly aftertaste.

Big bottle. Pours black, tan head. Nose is fudge, chile. Flavour is cool cross of savoury and sweet, I typically don’t care for it but it worked here. Vanilla, licorice. Silken. Mole beer! Great.

Tap@Fermentoren, CPH - black pour with a small beige head. Roasted slightly burned malts, chocolate, brown sugar, syrupy, warming boozy with some peppery spice/chili definitely there but certainly not overpowering, just well judged. Impressive.

Meget svag duft af mørk malt og sukker. Smagen er præget af maltsødme og chili. Eftersmagen er domineret af chili men efterhånden vinder bitterheden frem. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours opaque black with a brown thick head. The aroma is chili, heavy licorice, chocolate, vanilla and hard roasted malts. Lots of things going on. A little smoke too. Sweet chocolate at the start in the mouth. Then comes the roasted malts, sweet licorice and the chili which tickles in the mouth for a little while. Light smoke in the finish. A little veggy as well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
