Bottle from Skjold Burne. Pours black with a small brown head that rests down to a thin film. Aroma has a lot of really roasted malt, fresh coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla and sweet notes. Taste is sweet up front followed by very roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, sweet notes and a slowly rising chili heat at the end. Mouth feel is thick and smooth, full bodied, medium carbonation. After taste is chocolatey bitter dry with a lingering chili heat.
Well balanced chili stout, would definitely drink again!

Bottle 50 cl, BBE 01.04.2023. Pours dark brown in color with a tan head. Raw coffee beans in aroma and some chocolate in aroma. A bit of cocoa powder sweetness in taste, some bitter chocolate and a bit of cold coffee in taste. Has got a nice burning in aftertaste originating from the chili. This is one of the better chili-beers I’ve tried so far.

Bottle. 10.0%. Best before 08.07.23. Pours black with a thick khaki/tan head. Good lacing. Sweetish roasted aroma with light notes of chili and coffee. A bit tart, light spicy notes and a faint rubber note. Complex flavour; coffee, chocolate, chili and with a mild chili burn. A hint of vanilla appear as it warms as well as light cloves note, the latter making it a wee bit cloying. Roasted coffee finish, with the chili burn continuing and becoming stronger, and with a mild alcohol burn as well. Overall quite good; nice, complex and balanced, and the chili burn is just the right intensity. 23.07.13.
