Bottle 50 cl, BBE 01.04.2023. Pours dark brown in color with a tan head. Raw coffee beans in aroma and some chocolate in aroma. A bit of cocoa powder sweetness in taste, some bitter chocolate and a bit of cold coffee in taste. Has got a nice burning in aftertaste originating from the chili. This is one of the better chili-beers I’ve tried so far.

Bottle. 10.0%. Best before 08.07.23. Pours black with a thick khaki/tan head. Good lacing. Sweetish roasted aroma with light notes of chili and coffee. A bit tart, light spicy notes and a faint rubber note. Complex flavour; coffee, chocolate, chili and with a mild chili burn. A hint of vanilla appear as it warms as well as light cloves note, the latter making it a wee bit cloying. Roasted coffee finish, with the chili burn continuing and becoming stronger, and with a mild alcohol burn as well. Overall quite good; nice, complex and balanced, and the chili burn is just the right intensity. 23.07.13.

500ml bottle (Pikkulintu, Helsinki)
Huge (chilli) pepper aroma - whole fruits, not just the hot parts, quite fresh. Very smooth palate, oily, but OK carbonation. Roast is daaark. Some fruity esters, and alcohol pushes those spikes up you nose quite effectively. Touch coffee-ey finish from that sweet dark roast, but the chilli pops up too. It’s remarkably balanced, it’s just a gentle little warm throb, just about right. Perhaps a bit flat and slick in the mouthfeel? Perhaps an under-rate.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - BBE 01-04-2023, at Pikkulintu, 20130722) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and light brown. Aroma had roasted malts, pepper and liquorice. Palate was full bodied and burning with medium carbonation. Flavours were roasted malts, liquorice, pepper, saltiness, hops and bitterness. Afteraste had liquorice, pepper and bitterness. A nice strong beer having the chilli taste and the burning but neither was too excessive.
