Unde (503) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAY 6, 2014
Blackish brown colour, cinnamon coloured smallish head on top. Aroma has salty licorice, some spices, chili and some barnyard. Taste has dark chocolate, salty licorice, roasted coffee and warming chili at the end. Soft and full body with small-to-medium carbonation. Special Imperial Stout with enough chili to actually taste and feel it.

Almost black, airy, diminishing brown head. Licorice and vanilla aroma, a hint of chili. Taste is quite roasted, again with some chili. Discrete coffee-bitterness, dry yet sticky finish.

Very chili in the fragrance. Good taste and it’s not as dangerous heavy drinking with its easy chili and licorice flavor. The aftertaste has a moderate bitterness that fills the mouth well and last a long time. I have drunk some beer chili and this is probably the best I had drunk. Enjoyable! Bottled, from Systembolaget. Perfectly black, small beige head. Licorice and metal, some chili up front. Mid sweet, full body, clean rounded mouthfeel. Licorice, tar and molasses, mild chili warmth. Lightly metallic, but overall one of few beers where chili actually works.

Beautiful shining black color. You can sence the chili in the aroma and the taste is really good, although I think the chili taste stays with you a bit long, but I guess chili will do that to you. I got some liquorice as well. I like this beer and will need to have it again some time.

Dark brown with small brown head. Aroma chocolate and roasted malts. Taste dark chocolate and roasted malts. Chili only detected as small hints of chiliburn. OK, but danish beer of the year ?

Beer4000 (4916) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - APR 15, 2014
500 ml bottle. Black body with a moderate sized tan head. Aroma of dark, roasted malt, some chocolate and hint of chili. Flavor is sweet, moderate roasted dark malt, chocolate, some espresso coffee, balanced bitterness and warming chili towards the end. Alcohol is welll hidden. Fine body and smooth aftertaste with sweet malt and chili. Very nice and balanced.
