500ml bottle. Pours an insane amount of frothy creamy brownish head, quite thick. Has a very deep dark brown, pretty much pitch black. Lacing is fine. Aromas are a little bit smokey. Some chocolate and faint licorice hints. Flavours are a bit sweet at first with the chocolate and licorice notes as well as hints of coffee but has some pretty good spiced notes mainly in the finish. Nice warming sensation on the palate. Should’ve kept this one for the winter months.

Quite herbal, and woody. Strong chili arom and flavour, but no heat. Subtle cocoa, and vanilla with a lot of char. Oily mouth feel, regular carb. Finish is highly bitter, and quite astringent. Hints of heat in the end with big licorice, herbs and strong earthiness.

One finger mocha head, fades slowly to thin sheet. Very dark brown/black. Big powdery chocolate aroma with chilli pepper spice. Rich dark chocolate up front followed by light licorice then chilli spice tickle in the finish/aftertaste. Full mouthfeel with alcohol drying in the finish.

500 ml bottle from LCBO, served cool in a tulip glass, 06.07.2025. Deep brown black with a fairly tight deep mocha head. Lots of dark chocolate, a faint red wine note, a little pepper fruitiness, a black peppery spiciness, quite good. Medium-full body with almost moderate carbonation. Lots of dark chocolate with fair pepper fruitiness and spiciness, other warm spices; somewhat sweet with a decent amount of heat and a long, mostly dark chocolate finish. Quite good.
