Black hazy body and a large creamy dark brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, honey, prunes. The taste is heavy sweet and medium bitter. Well balanced and a not to bitter finish. Full body and a creamy texture.

Not much odor, but more flavor and taste. Maybe not the tastiest Porter but clearly approved. Not much more.

Lots of ’dark’ aromas, but also significant bitterness, notwithstanding what the label says. The honey is hardly detectable. It’s a good and a nice beer, but it is perhaps a bit brutal, which is hardly surprising, given the origin.

Bottle. Dark brown, small to average and fully diminishing light brown head. Moderate, malty - some oat and sweetish aroma, some caramel, roasted malt - faint burnt malt, light chocolate and light hoppyness. Body is medium to full, malty - some oat and sweetish flavor, light caramel, roasted malt - faint burnt malt, some chocolate and light hoppyness. Finish is average to long, malty - some oat and lightly sweetish, roasted malt - some burnt malt, light chocolate and light hoppyness, faint alcohol. Not too sweet IP - not too much coffee, roastiness makes the finish bit drier.

Bottle. Opaque deep brown liquid with small to medium light tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, smoke, caramel, tobacco, orange and light coffee. Taste is light sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of licorice, chocolate and light smoke. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Quite nice.

Black-ish liquid with a small brown head. Licorice and chocolate in the nose. Insanely sweet taste. Burnt malts, caramel, chocolate, fudge. I can hear the oompa loompas singing in the background, and willy wonka should be on the label. Oh, and also a tiny sting of the alcohol in the finish.

0.5l bottle. Yeah, it’s a deep dark dark brown one - or you know what, I’m going to go ahead and call it black, and it has a beautiful big and lacing chocolate head on the top. The aroma is filled with chocolate, dark caramel and rich sweet fudge. It’s nicely roasted also with traces of stingy hops, rum, perhaps a bit on the sweet side, but quite delicious. It’s surprisingly light-bodied and actually a bit thin on the mouthfeel with a really really gliding-down-the-throat texture and a average small bubbly carbonation level. Nice roasted chocolate flavors. Definitely not to sweet, some traces of phenol - at least I think it’s that, but it’s not disturbing at all. Dark syrup and caramel also here with some nice cocoa-thingy in the finish. Lingering aftertaste of burned dark bread. Really tasty! 07.11.2012

50cl bottle thanks to Nikolai. Pours opaque black with a thick creamy fawn head. The nose has honey and oatmeal biscuits. The taste has chocolate, some oatmeal biscuits and a fairly elegant finish, although I initially thought the alcohol was a bit big. The palate has a medium to full body, a big creamy texture. Overall, a beer that grew on me.

50cl bottle from Vinmonopolet, Vika. Pours very dark, almost black with a brown head. Roasty aroma with dark fruits and hints of coffee, chocolate, spices and smoke. Alcohol well integrated. Medium sweet with a quite dry and bitter finish. Medium to full body. Refreshing and flavourfull
