3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 sayravai (4548) - Helsinki, - AUG 10, 2009
(Bottled, 4.3% ABV) Opaque yellow-orange with a small, lasting head and floating yeast particles. Flowery-perfumy aroma with slighty wheaty sourness. Flavor is lemony, sourish-wheaty, flowery-aromatic, coriander-spicy, and a tiny bit homebrewish-rough. Quite refreshing, almost medium-bodied palate with medium, a bit fizzy carbonation. Not at all bad, considering the low ABV.
2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 11/20 POLK (1628) - Hørning, DENMARK - JAN 17, 2012
Spicy aroma of citrus and yeast. violent foam shower and immediately disappears almost completely. The carbonation destroys the flavor. Again one must wonder how the beer got through quality control ... (almost as sour as gousse)
2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 jonas (4613) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - SEP 25, 2010
Århus Ølfestival 2008. Hazy pale yellow, creamy white head. Papery, spicy, perfumed aroma. Light body. A bit worty, straw base flavor. Lemon, grass aftertaste.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Forsberg_dk (258) - DENMARK - AUG 26, 2010
50 cl bottle, total gusher, pours reddish with a huge white head, aroma is spices and wheat, taste is slightly sour with spices and wheat malt, weak finish, thin body, not my kind of beer and borderline drainpour.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 rosenbergh (3495) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 10, 2010
500 ml bottle. 4.3%. Finland.
Hazy darkish yellow orange colour with massive fluffy foamy white head.
Foams out of the bottle and it’s hard to pour because it foams like hell. BB is 16.07.2012. Yeast, wheat and spices in aroma.
Yeast, malt, wheat and spices in flavour. Mild metallic notes. Thin and watery.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 oh6gdx (16084) - Vasa, FINLAND - APR 25, 2010
Bottled. Hazy yellowish orange colour with mediumsized white head. Aroma is wheat, coriander, spices, some slight fruity as well as acidic notes. Flavour is coriander, zest, some wheat, mild acidic wooden notes as well. OK Witbier, but a rather "mainstream" beer by Hornbeer...
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 TBone (9433) - Pori, FINLAND - DEC 2, 2009
Bottled (BB 07/2012), alc. 4.3%
Hazy orange color, huge foamy white head. Coriander, orange peels and herbs in the nose. Very active carbonation. Flavor has wheat, coriander and vegetables. Too crisp, slightly odd. Not the best of Hornbeers.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Bov (7364) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - NOV 30, 2009
courtesy of Antonio Ruiz - fully cloudy lactic orange colour with a little persistent white foam; aroma of banana, tangerines and undefined spices; medium-bodied and acidic; a weird salty/bitter finish and a long spicy and fruity aftertaste
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20 tlind2 (840) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 26, 2009
500 ml bottle. Straw color, insane white head that just goes everywhere. Slight, spicy aroma. Watery flavor with some wheat and spices. Desperately needs more body. High carbonation.
1.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 mjs (3000) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 5, 2009
(Bottle) Nearly a gusher. Beer was difficult to pour because of the enormous head forming. Colour is dirty yellow and it’s cloudy. Aroma contained coriander and citricness. Light bodied palate with very high carbonation. Coriander, citricness, some notes of oxidisation and light bitterness in taste. Very short and weak afertaste. Bad bottling perhaps - definately from the same batch as the previous rater’s one.
1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 Hermod (1697) - Vantaa, FINLAND - NOV 3, 2009
50 cl bottle. This one had gone bad, pours only a fluffy head. Even after the bottle had been open for 10 minutes. Aroma is metallic, mostly yeast flavor. After half a glass I poured it in the sink. Not very drinkable. On the bottle of the bottle thick layer of yeast, sediments. Have to rerate.
