Quack-Duck (5921) - Down South, - SEP 12, 2009
bottle, purchased at the very charming brewery. Clear deep dark brown colour wiht a persistent beige head. Sweet nose with hints of nuts. Medium-bodied, sweet malt flavours with a shy fruity touch (apples) and hints of chestnut. Shy hoppy background blending in. Beautifully accompanied the smoked sausage I’ve just had.

Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 12, 2011
Test vom 17.11.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,6,7,5,11,6 - 6,75

Bottle. High creamy and long lasting off-white head leaving nice lacings. Clear dark brown body. Sweet roasted barley malt aroma with cocoa and caramel notes. Sweet and smooth roasted barley malt flavor with butter cream caramel notes. Low carbonation. Long sweet aftertaste.

pivnizub (7240) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - SEP 19, 2009
Bottle (thanx to Quack-Duck!): Light amber to amber coloured, big persistent off-white head; solid sweet dark-malty nose with subtle fruits and hops underneath; sweet flavour, not cloying, medium bodied, quite soft; slightly lingering - mainly - sweet-malty finish, rounded by a light bitterness. Even though a bit on the sweet side, all in all a fine Dunkel.........

MoritzF (7402) - Bochum, GERMANY - SEP 10, 2009
(bottle) Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a huge and slightly tanned foamy head. Sweet and slightly toasted malty aroma with (chest-)nutty notes and a touch of caramel. Sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, soft on carbon. Moderately toasted malty and slightly nutty taste; sweet malt-accented, slightly toasty finish with a very restrained level of bitterness. Despite its sweetness a decent Dunkel. 09.IX.09
