2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 nhorween (644) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 9, 2006
Super pale, bubbly pour; very carbonated. Nice puffy white head. Mild hop and citrus aroma, nothing exciting. Thin and oily mouthfeel. Not a great beer.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 MartinT (6350) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 16, 2005
The Lure: Fizzy, noisy carbonation forms a generous, lasting, big-bubbled head. Grainy malts undermine the very fruity sweetness. Oranges and peaches predominate, as mild hop allusions whisper. A slight mineral character might come from the hops.
The Festivities: Citrusy hop fruitiness mostly evokes oranges, preceding the peachy esters which cling to the malt sweetness. Expansive carbonation is somewhat too forthcoming, but remains good-natured. Earthy hops attempt an aftertaste, but fade away quickly. A simple and easy drinking fruity pale ale.
Transcendence: Withered herbs can still give some flavor.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 CaptainCougar (6838) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - DEC 1, 2005
Pours a deep copper bronze with a frothy and well-lacing white head. Sweet lemony citrus hoppy aroma has a good crystal malty balance. Starts with a semi-sweet, toasty maltiness balanced with lots of citrusy hops. Finishes crisp, dry and bittersweet. I thought this was a very nice APA, but apparently I’m in the minority on that. This was one of the few times I rated a beer having no idea what others had been rating it.
2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Cletus (6064) - Connecticut, USA - OCT 20, 2005
Bottle. Pours coppery with a fluffy head. Smells of grass, yogurt, some orange, Tastes caramelly and a bit on the watery side. Not enough in the way of bittering on this one. The hop notes are there but subtle with a thin note of citrus but otherwise sub par.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 weeare138 (936) - Collegeville, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 16, 2005
Appears a light gold with a loose white head and mild carbonation bubbles rising to the top. Nice head that seems to last for about a minute. Lacing is having trouble sticking.
Smell is sweet with a slight skunkiness and a strange malt that resembles rubber.
Taste is about the same as the weird smell...only a bit worse.
Mouthfeel is watery and mildy sweet and sour that washes out during the finish.
Drinkability...ok. Catfish on the label and perhaps catfish nuggets...in the beer.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 hopdog (7053) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 10, 2005
Bottle shared courtesy of weeare138 (thanks!). Poured a medium and lightly hazy golden color with an averaged sized white head. What to say about this one. Aromas and tastes on the subtle side. Light lemon, and some other things going on there I couldn’t quite put my finger on. My ratings came down as I drank more and more of this one. Thin and watery body. Has a neat lable with a picture of a Catfish on it.
1.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 egajdzis (4587) - Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 9, 2005
Poured a hazy golden color with a small white head that left very light lacing on the glass. Aroma of ash tray, burnt rubber, and faint citrus. Taste of citrus, light bitterness, with more burnt rubber.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 richlikebeer (835) - Easton, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 9, 2005
slighly cloudy very pale gold with a solid layer of white head, aroma was a mixture of hops and something similar to cough syrup. pretty sweet, candi sugar is very present, hops actually backing that up. an odd blend, but not totally unenjoyable.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 tiggmtl (4475) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 6, 2005
Leafy green hop nose with some grapefruit character. Clear copper-golden body is topped by low white head that recedes to ring. Fair bitterness. Grainy malts. Lasting impression of sweetness. Light body with moderate carbonation. Bottle sampled with muzzlehatch, Olivier_MTL and Rastacouere.
